Title: Diplomacy (the game) - who wants to play? Post by: bergeroo on April 04, 2020, 05:29:14 PM Ok who wants to play Diplomacy. A very old fashioned game a bit like risk.
Does anyone know it? Needs 7 players and each person is an old European power. You make alliances and move your forces around and try to take over Europe. I haven't played it before so I haven't mastered the rules yet. We can play online here and set it up for one turn per day maybe? https://www.backstabbr.com/ It looks... fun? In a serious early twentieth century war kind of way. About the game. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diplomacy_(game) Title: Re: Diplomacy (the game) - who wants to play? Post by: Jon MW on April 04, 2020, 06:04:16 PM I have heard of it. I might have even played it before, but my memory really isn't great.
I'll have a look at it when I get back on my computer, but looks good. Title: Re: Diplomacy (the game) - who wants to play? Post by: Woodsey on April 04, 2020, 10:02:59 PM I might but know nothing about it, is it easy to do? Something like risk would be easier for me.....

I played one standard game on Backstabbr early in Lockdown 1 that lasted a few weeks, and recently returned to take on a "gunboat" version without the messaging part. Completely different and I think the poorer for the lack of interaction. |
