Hi All,
I am working on setting this up tonight. Should be able to send invites to those currently involved in the other Blonde Dynasty League and redraft soon.

If we get enough we can go to 16 Team or even 2 groups of 10.

I personally love the software and can be viewed on Phone or PC and Tablet and is very user friendly.

Big change to be implemented are as follows:

1. Every player will be allocated 100 WAB which can be used to acquire players every Wednesday morning at 9am. These 100 points are to be used throughout the season. Players not aquired from the waiver is a free for all. Players dropped to the waiver must wait 24hrs.
2. Format will be PPR unless anyone wishes anything other.
3. If we go to a 12 Man League i am proposing a the following QB RB RB WR WR TE Flex (WRT) Flex (WRT) Flex (QWRT)K, D 15 Bench 2 x IR Spots 5 Taxi. This is all open for debate. Rookie Draft to be seperate from the Main Draft.
4. Costs can be agreed but would want some sort of payment to include security for next season incase anyone walks.

would be better with 10 bench spots 3 IR (5 if still covid)
ideally enough of a bench to cover bye weeks and bad draws but not so many on bench that every man and his granny is in a squad

there still needs to be players on the market for pick ups

auction would be fun. It isn't in Sleeper yet but they are planning to add it very soon.

That Sleeper site looks really good.  I can see there is a recent transactions tab on it. Once the league is set up does it automatically just stay active the whole year round?

Are you using phone or PC? On PC there is the main dialog box in the middle which has all the trades but I can't see an actual trade list. The mobile app is meant to have more features but I haven't used it, so maybe it is on there? Overall I like it quite a lot.

I love it. The inplay stuff is class. very good piece of Software.

I did a 32 team league last season to try it out. The software is great. As for the 32 teams. Don't do it!

I have only used it on the phone so far but will use the PC version for drafting etc. It was interesting to see John Wolford was the most added/traded player last week and both Stafford and Goff are high up the list today. Ideally being able to play the league all year round would make spots like last nights real life trade generate transactions in the new league too.

Eeek, what kind of starting line ups were being put out in that league?

It was rough man. I still have nightmares of the players I had to start during bye weeks. Leshaun McCoy got a few starts for me. When my QB Newton was out for a few weeks then it was desperate times.

Hi - the blonde Sleeper league went quiet for a couple of months, so I picked up another couple of teams. Now I have a job starting in June until the end of the year, so not sure how much time I will have for another team when September comes. If people don't mind me being not that active, then that's fine though. Still fully committed to the first blonde league, can't wait for the rookie draft!

Okay All.

I had a quick look at the scoring and amended it slightly. I also changed it to a 10 man Draft with 2 Divisions of 5. Top 2 make the playoffs from each.
Please review the scoring and let me know if you think anything is out of kilter.

Ive made it 24 bench spots with 3 IR. Thid can be altered to suit.

I am propsing that the League Fees are £25. £15 paid out this season as £100 for 1st and £50 for 2nd and gives £10 towards next season.

If everyone is happy we can make it a 24hr Draft that can take some time. We will be completing 1 draft that includes all.

PS. If we can get another blonde member great.

24 bench spots is going to make waivers and free agency stale surely. 5 places in taxi squad and 16 on bench will make pick ups part of the game. A player came come off the taxi at any time but can not go  back on.

 

The current blonde league is 30 man rosters, is that right? How do you feel about waivers in that league? In this one a lot more QBS will be registered. Maybe an extra 20 QBS?

30 man squad i felt was too big  every back up is already in a squad and most of the 2nd and 3rd back ups are too. You have to go very deep to get lucky with a waiver.

in the current league most of the starting QBs and back up are already stashed

If you like I'll drop out of this so you can get going with 8 players. If you have 8 you can all play each other twice and start the playoffs in week 15.
I was invited to a very similar league by old work colleagues so I don't mind missing out. I'll still be very active in the original dynasty league.

Not sure what everyone else thinks but I’d say it would be better with 10 players than 8. Does anyone know someone that might like to play? Has anyone got contact details for the Shrewdies that could ask them?

Would be a shame to play a new league without those guys if they were interested.

So we have 10 Players registered for the Sleeper Dynasty Draft League. This will be 2 Divisions of 5. Top 2 in each division will progress to the Payoffs. Then we will have Div A 1st v Div B 2nd and Div A 2nd v Div B 1st. The Divisions were allocated as people joined sleeper.

Cost is £25 per person per season. £15 will go to the Prize Fund where we will pay £100 for 1st and £50 for 2nd. The one and Only Bobby1 has agreed to take payment for this. He will be in touch via PM wit the details. Many Thanks Bobby1. Appreciated.

The Draft is scheduled to start on Sunday 13th June at 6pm. This will only commence when all monies are collected from every individual. We will be drafting all Vets and Rookies together with a clock set to 24hrs to ensure we all have a chance to draft. Sleeper also has the capability to set up Player Queues if need be. Once money has been received i will randomise the Draft Order 3 x in a row and the Final one will then be the final drafting postions. Trade Picks are allowed but please note that if we are trading picks in say 2024 then thats where the £10 carryforward is there incase people bail and we try and get a replacement.

Flying thru the draft now, this Sleeper site is really good too isn’t it?

How easy/hard would it be to migrate the D league over to Sleeper if we chose to do that given the problems with set up etc on the Yahoo site?

It would be a case of allocating the teams and then allocating the picks. I guess not that much more time than setting up the yahoo? and then it is done for future years, and everything is automatic and all picks tracked etc when the league rolls over to the new season. But there could be something in the existing league that isn't covered in the rules/settings of sleeper too or maybe people like the functionality of yahoo and want to keep it?

If people like Sleeper and want to do it then I would be happy to donate a few hours to help in July, just to set up the teams and set up the rookie picks and stuff.

I think I prefer the sleeper to be honest. Also it would mean you only have to go through the whole set up once instead of every year.

Something to discuss when this new draft is done on sleeper.

Think we discussed this a while back, but the main issue is whether we can keep 30 man rosters. If not, all the owners would need to agree to a reduced roster (so dropping a few more players into free agency that they'd otherwise have stored on their roster).

I'm certainly not going to impose that on anyone who doesn't want to do it. We all signed up for a particular format, after all.

i think you can have 30 man rosters on sleeper as my other dynasty league has that and more with the IDP in the game

Me too and if it saves a load of hassle and is available all year round then It will take away all the hard graft that needs to be done at the mo. It looks pretty flexible re scoring rules too.

Couple of questions as having difficulty operating sleeper

How does the waiver system work? where do you see your FAAB balance?

I can't see the way to populate my team and bench now I have drafted. the page says "Click on position buttons to update your lineup" and when i do so nothing happens

Bobby i actually think you can migrate a league from say Yahoo or NFL.com to Sleeper.

If you are in the app and click Team. You can select a position and it will bring up all the players that can play that position. just select who you want and it auto updates.
For FAAB if you click League and move to the bottom it will show you in your division and how many FAAB points you have.
I have set up up that you need to bid for FA players which will process currently every wednesday morning at 9am. The higher the FAAB bid the more chance of getting your player. However there may be a need in the future for a certain player and a high FAAB bid will get your man. if more than 1 player bids the same FAAB it will go to Waiver Order for said period.

Ive added all teams and players manually to Sleeper. I will send the link tomorrow for those to join.

I can set up the commisioners once everyone has joined and the scoring can be reviewed as well. When we are all joined i can allocate each of you there respective teams. We can then set up the rookie draft and we are good to go.

The following players couldnt be added:
Arkansas Gravediggers - Julian Edelman
Tifosi Blackhearts - Drew Brees

There are a few teams with different no of players in there respective Teams. But the commisionors can deal with that when they join.

More than happy to help run this as well but more in the background so someone else has ownership.

Are we defo moving the other league to sleeper ?

The option is there. I’ve set it up if the league commish want to use it.

I’ve asked sleeper to help with the League history migration as well.

The league is easier to use and saves the manual work of draft picks being traded etc.

As I said. Option is there

Think Tighty and Tal need to discuss first as co-commissioners. Either way we have two leagues set up so can play on whatever the commissioners decide and mothball the other league.
