Why no actual golf coverage yet?

There are actual golfers out there playing actual golf at the moment. Why are we watching people talking?

Masters wont allow full coverage till a certain time. Think its all to do with ticket sales. So we only get featured groups (tiger) until 7pm

Tough conditions today at Augusta.

Cool, breezy and the course is firming up especially the greens.

I forsee some big changes on the leaderboard.

Just so bitty and disjointed with no real flow and totally riven with adverts.

Don't disagree Tom, but on a brighter note, I thought Cara Banks, the young lady who did the post-round interviews, was sensationally good. She's a familiar face on the Golf Channel but we don't see enough of her on Sky Sports. She was outstanding imo.

Wayne Riley is an acquired taste too, a sort of poor man's Peter Alliss or Ken Brown, but I mostly enjoyed his pieces to screen, if only as a break from the regular faces droning on with their non-stop sycophancy.

As to the rest of them, can't disagree, very poor. And to cap it all, we had to endure an interview with Harry Kane. It got me wondering, how did he get across to Augusta so quickly? He was playing for Spurs in the 5.30pm kick off on Saturday, (final whistle 7.15pm) and was over at Augusta yesterday afternoon. He was wearing his Nike gear, so I'm guessing Nike got him on one of their private jets?

Anyway, that's The Masters for another year, World Snooker next. We are truly spoilt.

We can't discount the fact that my opinions may have been slightly tainted by the performance of my selections.

I watched quite a lot of it on Sky Deutschland to combine watching golf with language learning.   They just had two guys doing shifts with the commentary and a guy at the course, who interviewed Straka once and that was that. Very few adverts as well and those seemed to be sponsors.

The original phrase is "For you tommy the war is over" - "Sie" being the formal "you".  Another thing to remember is never say "thank you" if a German wishes you "good luck" at the poker table.

I shall have to leave you guys to back & forth with all this German stuff, but on a more agricultural note I was impressed  that Scottie Scheffler's wife rejoices in the splendid name of Meredith Scudder.

The Americans do indeed have some fine names, I think a lot of it is due to them generally keeping their original language names rather than translating them into English.  eg (Alan) Sugar would originally have been Zucher, but (Mark) Zucherberg is maintained in the US.
