if the blinds are say 1p/2p then I think you'd be insane not to wait unless you've got enough money that a million won't dramatically affect your lifestyle. How many hands a day would you get dealt. 600? £9 a day. £3285 a year. I think I could wait a while for a mill.

I met you at the party euro open last november. dunno if you remember me I came 5th. Is this one going to be in maidstone too? Thanks for the offer it's very kind of you but I'd prefer the lessons that you gave Helen and Mathew was it? Can I offer you a percentage of what I win? Wink

Unless he's trying to set the guy up to do the same later i spose? When people bet small into me like that it almost always means they're on a draw and want to see a cheap turn so i usually raise. I don't play world class players though so that's why I asked.
4027  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: El Blondie, The blondeites, & The Poker Den..... on: September 02, 2005, 11:00:52 PM
OK so if the other guy had called, then what?

I used to work in Epsom next to where a guy called Creamy (sp?) lives. He was always friendly to me but a lot of people used poo themselves and walk off whenevrer he approached cos he's meant to be an ex bare knuckle boxing super hard man. Know him?

4032  Poker Forums / The Rail / Internet access in Cornwall? on: August 28, 2005, 01:51:57 PM
I really want to play the London EPT sats on Stars next Sunday but I'm on holiday in Cornwall. I've rung the place up and they say there is no internet access or even a phone point at the cottage we are staying at. I assume there aren't any internet cafe's open all night? I haven't got a laptop but would be happy to buy a cheap one if anyone can think of a way round this. Can you get short term satellite access or mobile phone or something? I don't really want to sign up for a long contract as I'm probably only gonna use it the once.

4034  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: multi tabling/how on: August 27, 2005, 01:04:39 AM
I think it might be cos a lot of you guys are live players so you have developed different skills to us internet fishes. As my old manager used to say there's more than one way to skin a cat. You guys probably play higher than me but maybe I make nearly as much money as you cos of the multitabling. If you think it's impossible to play good poker whilst 8 tabling though how do you explain people like Scott Fischman, Gank and Gigabet. They all 8 table some of the highest limits on the internet and also seem to do Ok in live tourneys (I think 3 bracelets and 2 WSOP final tables between them)

A lot of the younger internet players are playing 12-20 tables on 4 monitors now. As I said in the other post it's just practise. You maybe can't multitable and I wouldn't know a physical tell if it came up and slapped me on the face. Different strokes for different folks........
