IFA,s - the ruling changed last year i think and all IFA,s should be charging a flat fee on the money that the invest on your behalf typically about £3/4k for every £500k invested - one thing to check when picking an IFA is to see if they have a client account - if they have a client account it eases transferring money directly to them for investment.
+++++ Give up poker and become an IFA - the 3 i know all earn high six figure sums and work a couple of days a week

Poker Forums / The Rail / making super nova on ps - playing only sngs - is my maths correct

hi all
i am just looking at how to make supernova on ps by just playing SnGs -
i think i would need to play about 15 games an hour at a buy in of $15 , playing for about four hours a day = 60 games x $15 = $900 a day - allowing for variance i calculate that i would need a bank roll of $90,000 and i am sure that i have got the figure of $90,000 wrong.
Looked at various websites - but can not seem to find out what size bankroll would be needed to complete the mission of reaching supernova - secondly is it worth it
Any thoughts gratefully received
PS - is it also best to start it at the beginning of the year
cheers

Little story for GreekStein -
Flying back from Mexico - plane caught fire - different post -
Landed in Boston - travelling with a very senior executive of the airline who i had met a few days earlier - he says dont worry i have made some calls and private jet will take us to JFK to catch a connecting flight, just about to land at JFK plane is diverted to la guarida - anyway he sorts out transport to JFK - says he has sorted are connected flights and there is one in half an hour - i say i want a shower and freshen up and i need something to eat so i will get a later plane back to uk - he says sounds like a good idea and he will sort out flights - real nice chap
Anyway after showering and eating - he says time to go - we get on the plane and i am sitting next to a famous female actress, she asks me who i am and i say just an ordinary bloke - she says well you must be important - i say no i am just an ordinary everyday joe - and ask her why she thinks i must be important - she says that all the passengers have been told that there would be a delay in flying as certain passengers were running late - but had to be on that flight - she said they dont delay Concorde for any ordinary joe -,
Its not what you know - its who you know - right time - right place

Some little true facts -
1. I once lent my car to a complete stranger i met in a pub - who said he had an emergency - bloke and car came back an hour later
2. I had a new employee and use to pay all my guys in cash on a Friday, so sent the new employee his first day up to the bank to get a five figure sum - he came back
3. Last week went on a driving awareness course - guy was panicking because he had no money for parking - gave him £8 - he said how can i pay you back - i said don't bother
4. Mum sent me a lottery ticket - it won - was passing a little shop and bought some cigs - gave them lottery ticket and the woman who was from sri lanka gave me a £100 - (happy days) anyway got home and realised she got it wrong - got back in the car drove 40 miles back to the shop - told her i had looked it up as my mum does the same numbers and it was only a tenner i had won - lost money on that one - won some new sri lanka friends though
5. Went to a gastro pub, never been there before - ordered meal - ate meal - went to pay - no money - owner said no sweat drop it off next time your passing - didnt ask for my name, adress - nothing - got back home, picked up money and drove back to pay bill - now get the odd free meal when i go there
6. Did a favour for somebody i didnt know - guy ends up owning a number of food outlets - outside catering - now never lets me pay for a burger
Do good get good

Perhaps you need to change your name to someone like - david beckham, mick jagger, eric clapton, sean connery, alex ferguson or something like that - also a bit strange as i have spent several evenings in hong kong with 2 world ranked british snooker players and there managers - all drinks and food complimentary all night -
As i said to a mate who played for MU and England when they were coming back from a tour of hong kong and the far east - and we met in the airport - he said i will see you on the plane - i said you wont because as you turn right i will be turning left
Laugh i will

Not just at the poker tables - working on a job the other day and people sat next to each were texting/emailing each other questions even though they were in the same room - fifty years time the art of conversation will be long gone

No as i will post some more and even though i could make a small fortune from selling these stories - and some these people i really don't like - i would never reveal there names - but a bit of detective work could give you the answers.
Been famous has its good points - but knowing famous people can be a right pain - the number of times i have been sat with famous people in a restaurant/bar or event and then gone to the loo - and people come up and say - is that so and so can you get me there autograph - introduce me etc -
