Hi there.......very rarely post...normally lurk but found this debate interesting.

Personally my philosphy is "do unto others as you would have them do unto you", so I would retunr the money less my fee.

I believe in karma generating positive thoughts and hopefully, in the end, good things will happen to good people (perhaps this is overly optimistic but I'm sticking to it)

Smithy and Snoopy - got to admire your guts for kicking in the job to play poker and finding a poker related job.  Good luck to you both.

On a side note.....this whole "restructuring" bit is very close to home.  I'm an accountant that specialises in insolvency and restructuring!!! Thought I would drop that in early doors in case it ever crops up in the future, and remember someone has to do it!!!!!

Hi All,

Im still a complete newbie to this site although i have been lurking for ages.  Gonna try and post more but I have this annoying task to perform during the day called work which seems to limit my ability to post.

Anyhow, my name comes from a holiday in Tenerife a few years back......had a little rendezvous with a young lady on the beach.  Beach = sand = desert, and the rat bit....well burrowing, rat up a drainpipe, etc, etc.

Hi Vamp,

Strange.....in my game the free transfers keep going for years.  Adolfo starts at about 22 and plays well into his thirties.

Reminiscing now.....Mike Duff, Scott Huckerby, Andre Paralta, Sam Sodje

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post and I registered about 10 minutes ago.  Been a lurker for quite some time but decided to finally join, and then chose a football manager thread as my first effort!!!!!!

Well like many of you I have been a Championship Manager/Football Manager addict for as long as i can remember.  Not sure if it was the 01/02 season but I remember the following as free transfers I could get for my luton team in the 3rd division.

Adolfo - Spanish midfielder who played all the way up to the premiership....scores 40-50 goals in the 3rd division
Alex - Spanish left midfielder
Olle Kullinger - pick him up for about 5k and scores loads
Eero Salminen - Finnish AMC, 16 years old but very good

And just to indicate my addictiveness I bought FM06 on the first day it came out (a thurs i believe) and had already booked the following week off as holiday and just played FM06 for nearly an entire week......very sad
