Regrettably it's not a one pot solution.

Brush the bread both sides and put it in , turning once, halfway through.

Still got to fry the egg though :-) but find air fryer fried bread is much easier to make nice and crisp with not much oil,  than actual fried fried bread.

I've given up on any debate about politics or contentious issues. After 25 odd years I've finally admitted that the man who said "no one has ever changed their mind on the internet" was right.

Taken me to get into my 60s to get there but same as. I've probably gone a bit further than giving up on debate to almost completely switching off. Watch and read very little political news,  stopped following people on twitter that caused me to rail or feel very supportive because at some point I'd allow myself to get vexed or over partisan. Stick to sports and general entertainment, toasties, music , friends family and ale and life is pretty darn good.

I seem to have missed pages of interesting stuff.  Air fryer toastie - make the full sandwich , place in air fryer, however, add a bit of weight to the top slice as it tends to fly off.

Also find it makes lovely fried bread, brush with olive oil, 3 mins a side. Pop an egg on that piece of fried bread and you'll be pretty happy with the result

Drawn in by the hype of the 1st series which I missed, I watched the second and loved it. Since then been catching up with all manner of versions from overseas.

Its hard to describe or understand why it's so compelling.  Not sure if I think it's because we're in on the secret and can laugh our socks off at how judgemental, easily swayed, partisan, over eager to please (etc etc for generally negative traits) people can be. Could just be the casting people are very good at their jobs and put an interesting mix of people in there

Good luck for the rest of the trip, you're incredibly resilient and must be very mentally tough, hope things get back to more like we're used to reading.

First time in my life I actually closed my eyes for one of the pens - Super Dec looked tired but I needn't have worried :-)

Maybe already mentioned but if you enjoyed Top Boy but found The Wire too cerebral slow, you may enjoy Snowfall on iplayer. I really enjoyed it anyway

Nice pic, don't really know the people in the photo but I know who they are.

Now everyone looks well, but Nick and Maria don't appear to have aged at all since last I would have seen them - probably 10 years or so ago

So basically saying the rest of us are getting on a bit 😝😝

Haha, about right

I'm partial to a few craft beers, but very expensive stuff and some tastes so strange on the palate you'd have to work hard to acquire the taste.

Do enjoy some of the Salt IPAs from time to time.

Cloth cap back on and will drink one Guiness later on while watching Traitors

You mustn't be searching for decent pubs Glenn. TTL (Don't mind if I do) is widely available south of Watford Gap. Excellent beer when well kept etc etc

I haven't seen or tried Batemans yet, but typhoon's description suggests that it's not one for my palate. Doom Bar, however, is something akin to Double Diamond in my book: never knowingly supped.

However, my personal nectar is London Pride, which is just one of Fullers' offerings. Not sure how far north its distribution reaches, though, so our Northern friends might not know what they're missing. Tetley's Bitter was a great favourite of mine, but it's very hard to find these days

Cheers chaps!

Haha, Double Diamond was my Grandad's tipple at his servicemen's club donkeys years ago, truly dreadful.

Metnioned Doom Bar as a Wetherspoon's staple, if I'm in a normal pub then yes, London Pride, when well kept, is just lovely and a first choice for me. Agree on Tetley's too but don't see it much either these days

Gotta remember this is dahn sahf.

Real ales - Doom Bar predominates and what I would normally have, Abbot Ale a reasonably accceptable alternative , the several beers you guys mention are not on the menu

Banners are so you can see the news on TVs playing in pubs, airports etc with the sound down I reckon

That can't be right though Glen. Put 1% of viewers before the other 99%?
