1  Community Forums / Betting Tips and Sport Discussion / Re: Leeds Utd a sad sad story. on: October 30, 2006, 06:22:33 PM
Taken me some time to discover this thread, and kinda glad i did, first things first ,whether leeds are considered a `big` club ,or `bigger `than charlton is quite frankly irrelevant, you are who you are whether your top of the premiership or at the foot of the nationwide, peoples teams meen just as much to the individual as anyone elses team (ok possibly with the exception of the asian reds lol).
Recently went to leeds game with a friend and his 5 year old ,was told if kid took up membership he d get reduction on ticket price ,friend decided kid wouldnt be attending too many games (because of price),so declined the membership result being we had to pay 34 quid each (including 5 year old kid) so i can genuinely appreciate the `cost `argument, much more worrying to this is it wont end at leeds, kids being priced out of a lot of grounds around the country and that is very sad, football sold it s soul to sky many years ago ,great coverage but it increased the overpayed players egos even more than the obvious increase in bank balances.

Blackwell slipped up by 1, playing healy out wide (scores for fun of late for n i )
2, failure to play richardson   (why ?,he was on way to becoming a quality r back or even central defender)
3,geting rid of  danny pugh ,again quality and `young `
4, should have played blake in midfield behind front 2 ,great ball player use him !!
5,should have tried out a few youngsters ,if there from leeds at least they will play with passion .

If mr blackwell had done any or some or all of the above leeds united would now be in mid table safety and mr blackwell may still have been in a job, iits ok having all the coaching badgers in the world but seems kb got tunnel vision at end of his tenure and refused to admit his mistakes and carried on in a pig headed i know best attitude ,instead of giving a bit of ground and seeking sound advice .

One day leeds united will be back hopefully in the premiership and debt free ,it may take a long time ,or we may get the `structure ` we need much quicker ,whichever i will be there, but cant blame and do feel sympathy to the people that have stopped going ,hopefully they will return .

anyway you want a sports bet that s been in profit last 2 years ?,back wakefield wildcats on handicap all season and i reckon for third year running you will see a profit ,
regards .
