Oscar is a great if somewhat unusual Christian name. Any particular reason?

I don't know yet. It surprised me!

Became a grandad last night

Meet Oscar Prew, unlikely to be a jockey but probably the Leicester City and England goalkeeper at the 2044 World Cup

Mum and baby doing well!

I had the good fortune to be partnered with Andrew in a Golf Day a few weeks ago (my good fortune, his bad fortune), along with a whole bunch of reprobates, degenerates, dodgy car dealers plus four or five assorted blondes who are or were all poker players, some of whom you may recognize.  For those not familiar with Andrew, he's the well-dressed handsome one at the end.

Grandad? Really? Tell us more.

Middle son, now 27, and partner expecting a boy on Christmas Day.

Funny, I still think he's 14 years old!

Betfair has Conservative seats 100-149 favourite.

They currently have 345

Less than 50 seats is 12/1 currently

Johnson's 2019 coalition involved adding "red wall" Leave voters focussed on Brexit while retaining "blue wall" Remain Cons who saw Corbyn as a bigger threat. Brexit and Corbyn now both "gone" as issues, and the bill for this strategy is coming due...

the red wall is going red again
the blue wall is going yellow

I far prefer Con less than 100 seats to more than 200 on 4th July.

I have moved to a coastal constituency which is currently a 20k Conservative majority. They've picked a young Labour candidate who ordinarily would be a no-hoper but they think its neck and neck this time

Sunak was canvassing yesterday in Bosworth, an old constituency of mine...26,000 majority.......normally there would be no need for him to visit there...

A lot of water has passed under the bridge

A few Prime Ministers on, here we are again

Brexit went well. So much so that all parties cannot resist talking about it this time round :-)

Anyone for a general election discussion?

Did you watch the final frame of Higgins-Allen?

12-12, Higgins 60 odd down and Allen misses

If Higgins loses he's out the top 16

faces a double into the middle, can't play safe as he can't hide another red over the corner he can't get to

Makes the double, match over if he misses

then later on has a smelly red tight to the top cushion. Miss it, lose the match. play it slow and miss it he leaves it

Knocks it in with pace, clears up, wins 13-12

Absolutely stunning stuff, and I am not a Higgins fan but it was nails.

My uncle's horse Panda Boy is 3rd favourite for the Grand National so I'm not saying anything hugely interesting but he says "he's as right as he could be", if anyone fancied a bet.
It's a dream for him. He had a horse Doubleuagain that won at Cheltenham about 40 years ago. That ran in the Grand National, finished but didn't place. Winning the Grand National has always been a life long dream and to be so close is amazing.

good luck. Sorry in advance, I backed him in my pinstickers before i saw this

He's 65lb fully grown, like a small coffee table that snores.

Lost a few pounds since the above photo was taken
