Jen unfortunately exited in the semis. She played some terrific poker all day. Kevin Conway (E) and Ken Doherty (I) are currently playing the finals.

Jen is into the semis and currently leading her match, the situation is that if the Irish win the final, they win the whole thing, if the English win the final.....



.... its a draw!

Scotland and Wales have already been elminated and its Eng v Eng and Ire v Ire in the semis!

Normally I'd cheer for Jen but national pride is at stake

Jen won her second round game (after a marathon girl-on-girl headsup against Gwawr from Wales), by dismissing Rob Taylor in a terrific battle. Jen had the lead for most of it and pressure pressure pressured Rob but the wily Irishman avoided being cornered for a long time. Ultimately Jen triumphed and proceeds to the quarters...

Ironside was knocked out in the first round by Rob who came back from being very short stacked so there was a certain amount of justice for Blonde Poker!

With a tip of the hat to Snoops and the lads, I thought you guys might like to know that Jen is on the other side of the camera and note book today, swapping her Scoop hat for an English top and togging out to play against Ireland, Scotland and Wales. I'll drop back and update here too to let you know how they get on. The slagging is flying fast between the English and the Irish while the scots are already singing The Flower of Scotland and we've only just kicked off!

I'll miss goofing around with Snoops and Jen in the Media room too. I'll try and get you guys updates if you want to ask on Antesup.com but theres one of me and I have 22 Paddys to cover too! But I am happy to go get specific counts if you give me a name and a table/seat number.

The way they treat the non-corporate media here is a disgrace. I dunno if we'll come next year except that not one irish name would be mentioned by the star struck CrapPlayer and ESPN.

Jen, if you are back in Vegas before you fly home, stick your head in the media room. I'll be the corpse near the door!

First time I've been on this side of the updates.....damn, I'd give anything to be there now!

Tom & Mike have been VERY special & helpful to blonde, & many of the Live Updates would not have happened without their help. In particular, Tom is a genius with Laptops & Techy stuff, & he has saved blonde's life on many occasions when we have technical problems. Jen & I shared a cash game table with Tom in Paris one night, it was a real hoot, he's a good guy. Mike & I have shared many Tourny tables, especially, by coincidence, at Deauville last year, when Tom busted out a hand or two before or after me, in the semi-final, after a brave display.

I told Jen in Copenhagen when she seemed a bit down that life on the road just wouldnt be the same without you guys. "Survival" on the tournie circuit isnt enough, ya gotta have a few laughs along the way too. I'm all blushing and stuff here, thanks for your comments.

Now my taxi is here to go to Deauville. Mikes coming too so I think there might be drink involved, possibly.
