My message is aimed directly at you and your friends and not just a view on suicide in general.

Tell me you have not a scintilla of empathy or compassion without using those words.

I have no clue who you are, nor what you have done in the past to warrant your status as moral arbiter, but your recent posts make me instinctively aware that I wouldn’t want to spend time with you.
(I couldn’t give a fuck if you feel the same way)

So ironic, because if you did know him, you'd know Celtic is a more compassionate and empathetic man than most.

From my own personal experience,  when my intrusive thoughts start to win , I struggle to tell anyone or speak about it. Suicidal people don't generally tell you about it , and definitely don't post about it on public forums.

Stu, I'm sure you felt dreadfully upset at being caught, and at the thought of people finding out, but you'll get through this . Opinions of strangers and vague acquaintances are not important. You've barred yourself from casinos so these people will soon forget you.

Your real friends will still be your real friends.

You've said you are sorry in your first reply. To say you're not looking for sympathy or trying to make excuses , but to then go on to talk about self harm and suicide,  to me that's a contradiction in itself.

If you hadn't have been caught out, you wouldn't feel bad. So you care only about your public persona rather than the moral angle of what you did.

So if you'd consider leaving your child and family, who love you unconditionally , because a forum of relative strangers know you scammed your backers, that's so sad. Genuinely reconsider going back on the antidepressants,  they're a long term drug and you may well have come off them too soon .

Wishing you only the best for your future.

Good to hear from you as well Geo !

Doobs, there was no deal button or bubble, only paying one place in this Home game. Historically the guy who organises it usually chops ( he wasn't one of the 2), but tbf that wasn't something I'd thought about it , until the CL offered a chop.

To put into perspective I think it would probably have been about 8 dollars. Neither here nor there really, it was the fact CL changed their mind once I was out and then chopped with the guy they knew, despite having said lets deal when all 3 of us where still in.

Anyway I'm well over it now. it was a dealer from the Empire apparently, so they have to get their own back somehow I guess.

Disclaimer - I cant win my own award.

How does this work?

Three players left in a PLO Home game. It's Empire casino players & staff.

Player A has all the chips 90 k, Player B and me have 20k ish each. A & B know each other, neither know me

Player A says Want to deal ?  ( only 2 places paid ) we both say well hell yeah. Ive raised, so say okay yes fine by me , Player B & I get it in, he wins, I'm out, no problem, we already said yes to a deal.

Player A then says

" I'm okay actually "

Player B says that's sorted then

I then lose my shit and kick holes in a plasterboard wall, with my usual restraint and ladylike behaviour.

So my question is

How long will it take me to drive to the Empire Casino from Cheshire once lockdown ends ?

I had a great deal of fun with Marty while working on the GPS updates, he made some of the tougher days fly by.

Bumped into him randomly in Blackpool G just a couple of months ago, where he was dining with some old mates, and he was his usual cheerful self, so this is quite a shock. Will defo give him a Tweet and a text, thanks for letting people know Tikay.

Mick McCool?

Tony Phillips?

Mick McCool can usually be spotted up a six foot ladder outside a racecourse, betting in-running.

I first met Dave about six years ago, and last heard from him after he moved to a Liverpool hospital in August, while I was expecting this, it still came as a shock.

I won't pretend we knew each other well, but had a shared love of a few old bands, as well as other connections, and sporadically kept in touch. I'm genuinely quite upset by the news of his untimely death and will always give a nod to his memory whenever i hear a song by The Cars.

RIP El Blondie x

I'm assuming OP Leo1234 was more likely making a legal document on him rather than a documentary, looking at the date of original thread.

Daughter has part time job in KFC so she won't let me come in now, as last time I did I had to be propped up outside while she rang a taxi to take me home. I suppose I could try going in sober next time but where's the joy in that?

So it's Nandos for me also, but it's more of a neccesity due to no other option.

Welcome pokergal.
