1  Poker Forums / The Rail / No Limit Hold'em Poker Rules on: October 28, 2009, 01:14:32 AM
Hi, i've read several posts and i see that poker rulings are not of that much interest etc but im curious to know if there is an official set of rules for no limit hold'em that i can get my hands on ?

If not an official set maybe some that are commonly used in the uk ?

Sorry if this has been asked for before but i would love to have some to refer to with all aspects of rulings etc.

Can anyone help ?

Thanks

What options are available for registering for either one of these days ?

I live a good 4 hrs away and as its capped to 270 i don't want a wasted journey.

Any good suggestions of somewhere to stay over that is local to DTD ? and not too expensive ?

Thanks

so because the action has changed he can leave the hand with his chips yeah ?

if the action had not changed then the raise still stands and the minimum would have been allowed worse case ?

Thanks

thank you i appreciate your help.

to summarise:

you are only raising the raise amount always and never the total bet

and if it was reraised for example by 3000 the next person would reraise a minimum of the same again

lol just the first thing i could think of :-)

But rules are so different everywhere its confusing !

4,000 (twice the raise amount of 1,500)

he has raised 1,500 so you can make it 1,500 more

so to make it a bit more confusing the next minimum reraise could be ?

I need a ruling on the following please.

SB 100
BB 200

4 - folds

6 - announces raise not seeing player 5 with any cards and also not announcing what the raise is going to be

5 - raises to 800

what can player 6 now do ? is he obliged to raise still and if so what raise can be made ?

or is it an honest mistake and he can take his chips back and fold ?

Thanks

I will try to keep this simple, i need a ruling on no limit holdem please.

looking at the example below what is the legal minimum raise that can be made ?

SB 500
BB 1000

Next to Act Raises To 2500

What can the next person to act raise to (minimum)

Is it 5000 (double the total) ?

Or

5500 (double the raise + the original bet)

Hope this makes sense but im having several arguments over who is right ?

Thanks
