As the title suggests i am off to Vegas in a couple of weeks for our 10th Wedding Anniversary.  Got a couple of questions...

1. I am flying in to LA then off to Vegas.  What is a sensible connection time to allow.  I have a flight at 1hr 45 mins, is that too short a time?

2. Any good quality resturants that anyone can recommend in the hotels for a romantic dinner.  The sweeter i can keep her, the more time i will get at the tables!

3. is there a list of daily tournaments on a previous thread someone can point me to.

Many thanks for all your help.

Thanks

guys - i know nothing about betting, but looking at the odds on stan james and bet 365 for tomorrow's final, their odds are very different.  is there a way of playing these 2 to arb and hedge your way into a no lose situation or close to hedge out

anyway here are the odds

BET 365
Jodie 11/10 Bet
Jessie 7/4 Bet
Samantha 3/1 Bet

STAN JAMES
Samantha  10/11
Jessie  7/4
Jodie  7/2

On a side issue where the fuck to Spurs get their money from if I am correct they have spent more money in the last 12 months than anyone. They dont have CL income dont make loads on matchday revenue. Is it all Levy's own money??

Having Joe Lewis involved - Daniel phones up uncle joe and asks for more money and he just obliges.  not so sure joe will continue to bankroll so much going forward and i know for a fact that at the right price  he would sell.  So things may not be so easy going forward, however unfortunately they have now assembled a very good squad and management team so i expect them to do very well 2nd half of the season and into next season

ok i had better post to prove that i dont just post when things are going well (which typically makes up 99% of the time)

Well done to Spurs - over the 2 legs they thoroughly deserved it and they were seriously up for it.  Think even our full strength team would have found it tough last night.

I dont think the result bothers me that much as the competition is way down on our list of priorities, though i wish we had lost at blackburn now!!  However, over a season you do get judged on trophies and we were 90 mins from wembley so maybe there ia an argument for playing our strongest team.  If we win one of the remaining 3 though, his policy will be justified.

More disappointing for me were performances last night.  Fabianski has looked shaky in every game and was poor last night again.  Hoyte and Traore continue to struggle at the very top level.  Gilberto's legs have finally gone and its plain to see why Wenger prefers the more mobile Flamini.  Diaby is far too careless in midfield and is no way good enough to be trusted in centre midfield yet.  And as for Walcott, wow where do i start!!  if he wasnt english we would have been on his back months ago but he really has to shake himself up or he will not progress.  Personally i have been saying for a year now that he is not a speacial player and he has zero confidence.

This is not a moan - just stating facts.  Tottenham deserved to win and maybe our strength in depth is not as good as we all think it is.

Great signing and very jealous.

Will do extremely well for them and is just what they needed.

My fear is that with them they can mount a very strong challenge and he will now probably win the Golden Boot (think he is only 3 behind Ronaldo currently)

Still at least we got a brand new training ground out of him!!

for me Mourinho is too big a name for the managers job.  Theres only about 6 jobs in the world he'd take.

Ranieri and Houllier are much more achievable and i have been impressed with them since they left chelsea and liverpool respectively.

I repeat that i think Redknapp is not the right answer...A top quality foreign coach is the way forward.  They do exist, we had not heard much about Benitez, Mourinho and Ramos say 1 year before they took the job so do we know who the up and coming managers are of a 2nd tier team, like Porto, Sevilla or Valencia.?

whilst on the foreign manager theme, what would be wrong with a Ranieri, Houllier or a Van Gaal?

Are they too big a name for Newcastle or are the first 2 deemed to be Premiership failures.

personally i think all 3 are excellent managers and better than most about.  Also big foreign managers can attract big players.

I think Redknapp is wrong for Newcastle.  hes too much a dodgy wheeler dealer, looking for bargains and cheap african imports.  That works at West ham and Portsmouth but does that have to be the way at Newcastle?

If Tottenham can get a Ramos and City an Eriksson why cant Newcastle get a big name?

I dont get why there is so much Newcastle baiting across this and other forums.  Seem so many enjoy seeing them muck up.

As i said before - i like Newcastle as a team a city and the supporters.  I think a lot of it is jealousy from 2nd tier teams but i dont think the top 4 take pleasure in seeing them in a mess.

Newcastle's problem is that they are badly run.  For years they were run by the crooks Hall and Shepherd who literally raped the club for millions for their own benefit.  They got rid of that legacy only to be replaced by an absolute nutter who the City think is a joke and his company has seen millions wiped off since the floatation but obviously has a great deal of personal wealth and wants a hobby to keep up with his mates.

I think its sad and that it all works out - coz id love to see newcastle do well (altho obv not at arsenal's expense!)

i remember starting a thread about a year ago when he got his U21 cap congratulating u on an excellent spot.

funny thing is tho - the times i have seen him play for the U21's and Man City this season i think he looks a bit nervous and shaky and lacking in confidence.

Goalkeepers need to be arrogant and confident because there is no hiding place and u cant dwell on mistakes - a la Schmeichel, Seaman, and today Reina, Lehmann (at his peak he was very good and very arrogant in 2004!) and Van der Sar.

Too many of the English goalies lately look to nervous - Carson, Robinson, Richard Wright etc.  They have to get this fear out of themselves otherwise we will eternally have a goalkeeping problem.

yet again you outplayed us Nemesis and yet again you couldnt beat us!

Arsenal were poor - esp Gilberto who i think is passed it.  Anyway Arsenal had 1 of their 1st X1 playing in each half (Van Persie and Sagna) against Spurs who had 8 - so gotta be happy just to get away with a draw.

Yep Berbatov was excellent up front - fortunately his strike partners were woeful!

And wow Ledley King is different class - lucky hes hardly ever fit.  For years now he has been immense against us.

All to play for in the 2nd leg - i just hope for that he brings in one of our 3 playmakers (hleb, Rosicky or Cesc) as Spuds definitely had us in midfield.  when rosicky came on in the second leg last year he changed the game.
