For the exciting introduction of Twister Poker, we are giving players an excellent incentive to try it out.

We are now combining this with our current Online Club Cash Game Promo where players can earn Grand Prix Golden Chip Mega Sat tokens for trying out this new unique poker experience.

As you may be aware if you earned 15 base points playing our Online Club Cash Games you were credited a £5 Grand Prix satellite token for FREE. Now base points earned playing ANY Twister Poker game will contribute to your total as well.

Hi tightly/Nicola.

Can you tell me about the base points eg how much volume to accrue 1 point etc and where they are located in the lobby.

Sorry if this has been answered before.

1b at 5pm had 226 runners

I make it DTD were a couple of hundred runners short of the guarantee and a >£10,000 overlay. Nearly 230 runners down from last week, which is a bit of a head scratcher

Managed to get through to day 2 with 90k. Spin up time.
Regarding low numbers I think Eid (Muslim religious day) may have reduced numbers slightly as this was celebrated Thursday/Friday/Saturday  this week. Still surprising dtd missed by so much though.

Hi.

I'm a Derby and Nott's fan and I used to go to both the county ground and Trent bridge quite regularly until family commitments took over.  Very pleased that Derbyshire won promotion last year. Very much an unfashionable county with limited resources.  Staying up in Div 1 will be as much of an achievement as getting there last year.  Nott's have enjoyed some good success and I expect them to lift some silverware this season providing they keep there bowlers fit.  I also play locally and have played with and against some first class players including John Birch who used to play for Nott's a few years back now. I know this is off the subject but we are looking for players again this year so if you fancy donning some whites let me know Smiley
4  Community Forums / The Lounge / Re: Anyone do a job in the caring profession? on: June 10, 2013, 08:52:29 PM
Just trying to find out for a friend, is there any special qualifications required as I know nothing of this type of job.

Guess they would do something in childcare, or looking after old people etc.

Are these jobs easy or hard to find?

Hi. I work for a large Uk training provider and we deliver H&S care qualifications to new and existing employees.  If your friend is looking to pursue this career path he will have to complete a QCF Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care for Adults.  This qualification takes 12 month to complete and is delivered whilst he is at work, so no going to college 2 or 3 days a week. The care profession as a whole tends to have a high turnover of staff due to the shifts they work and the nature of the role itself.  There is a website that's shows current vacancies but I cant remember that site.  If you need it I'll try and dig it out from some of my work e mails.  In terms of experience some care homes will require relevant experience but there are quite a few now that will train you without experience.  If your friend has done any voluntary work this could help his application eg helped care for an elder grandparent or family member. Hope this helps.

I should also mention that if your friend is looking to pursue this field he should try and secure something very quickly.  From August this year the government have announced that anyone aged over 25 years old will have to pay for there qualifications themselves either through saving or taking out a student loan.  The H&S Care qualification costs around £6500.  At the moment this qualification is free.

Tikay/Tighty - Thanks for addressing this and removing the post, much appreciated.  The story told by smashedagain was wrong which is why i needed to get this addressed.  Going forward if DTD want to look into this no problem.  As mentioned before i have played a number of sats and never had any issues before. I have nothing to hide.

Banning the chat is defo the way forward.

Smashedagain - The post i was talking about was in Eso Kral's diary.  Your right about me chatting in the box after and in hindsight i should have just let it go.  I'm  quite a placid guy and normally let alot of stuff go but some of these keyboard warriors bring out the worst in me.  Anyway its done now as far as I'm concerned.

Thank you for the apology and offer of the drink and lunch did i hear you say!! umm look forward to that. Smiley
If I'm still in i ll come and find you. You ll be the one with the multi coloured clothing right?

Thanks

Hi.

I would like to get a few things straight here. I'm not a regular poster but do enjoy reading some great stuff from pros and rec players of which i fall into the later. I managed to bink a seat on the Monday through the skin as it were.  I read a post  last night by smashedagain that basically called me a cheat. I don't take kindly to being named in a public forum especially when you are talking about my integrity. The poker world is a small one and as a family man i feel insulted that someone mentions my name in this way when all through my life i have tried to be an honest working man providing for his family.

The facts are these.  With 60 or so players left i flick in my last 20k or so from mid position. It time banks round to the big blind and for some reason he folds when all he needed to put in was 2k out of a stack of 50k. (these figures are from memory).  Even i was shocked that he folded. I didn't know the big blind and nor have i played against him before.  Following this i get a torrid of abuse from the table accusing me of cheating/colluding etc etc. I bite back and use a bit of sarcasm to defend myself. Wrong play, i don't know.  All i know is that i haven't cheated or colluded and played it the only way i could have. I play these sats and the smaller ones quite often and my username is my name.  i have played every game with honesty and will continue to do so and don't hide behind usernames that mask identity.
From the outside looking in i see the way it looks which is why i snap e mail Nicola to let her know what happened.

Smashedagain - FYI i wasn't chatting to the player before hand and I didn't raise and then fold to a jam.  If your going to multi table troll at least get your FACTS right or buy a bigger screen especially if your going to mention names. In fact i never write more than gg, nh or ty in the chat box end of. lol The last time i did engage in conversation was actually with you when we were 3 handed in a mini sat 4-5 months ago.

PS well done for spelling my name right. Its just a shame that's the only thing you did get right

I ve been reading today that Suarez is hinting at wanting champions league football which is understandable. Biggest challenge will be keeping him this summer. Really hope he gets player of the year... So deserves it ahead of bale and van persie  on sheer consistency.

I ve had a few goes for the 500 without much luck. I haven't tried the 150 because 15 euros is a bit steep for me as I know I ll end up spending a third of the buyin if not more. It was a 6 euro rebuy last month which I think worked alot better and had more numbers which generated 2 seats. Not sure why it's changed tbh.
