Tough challenge but I will keep my fingers crossed for you.  I would imagine that most people who are trying this would have a "friend" play a few sessions for them which would give them a break.

Virgin Direct website price now BACK upto £763 Sad

I paid a little bit more than that for one of the nicer seats upstairs.  Saved a few quid on the hotel though.

What was that like? I've been looking at Vegas flights and, as I'm 6'2", I'm a bit wary of sitting in standard economy seats for ten hours. Would you say the extra is worth it? Exactly how much room is there in the standard seats for a lanky sod like me?

I am 6ft 3in and would say that unless you can guarantee yourself an exit row seat the extra money to fly the premium economy section in Virgin is well worth it.  Sitting in Virgin economy for people with long legs is not a pleasant experience and not my idea of how to kick off a nice holiday/experience!

First, let me say, I think its great all the work that is being done on the site. Serious pats on the back to everyone involved.

However, now a (hopefully constructive) negative (eek).  I feel that the forum is a serious weak spot - it is very muddy indeed, confused, with too many shades of the same colour... and much too much grey (Yu-uck). There's a reason things like phpbb, SMF, invision, mambo and other bits of forum software, come with the defaults that they have - they're clear, elegant, and easy on the eye while maintaining a bit of a colourful splash.

Blonde2 is a tiny improvement but in general its still not great - it doesn't adhere to any basic user-interface guidelines, and these are things that are vital in a potentially confusing text laden area. Similarly the main page should have a white background under the text instead of light grey - you wouldn't believe how much difference it makes to ease of reading.

I mean all of this constructively, so please don't take it as though I don't appreciate your hard work!  Once again - great work on the code, the site, and the amount of good content is just fan-bloody-tastic! Keep up the great work guys Smiley

Very well put!

blonde2 is much better but there is still black text dark background such as the user info box at the top. can we try a blonde3 dark background biege text?

TBH its perfect the way it is or was in Blonde1

if we do this it will just be back to the way it was before the revamp

Dave, that's the whole point of the different options - you can pick whichever one you like best. No one is forcing you to change.

i just feel there is far to much negativity surreounding the revamp

I do not agree that the comments made should be considered as negativity.  If the colour scheme makes it difficult to read and causes eyestrain then it should be reported.  Obviously a lot of work has gone into the revamp but unless a forum is perceived to be pleasant to the eye its popularity will start to decrease.  The comments should be viewed in the spirit they are given as constructive criticism.

Bream has given us another option - try Blonde2 in your layout preferences - it removes the yellow text and makes all the writing black on a light background - it won't give you a headache.

EDIT: - er, yeah, what Bream said.

The Blonde2 option is an improvement and should be set as the default.

Background should ALWAYS be light and text DARK in order to avoid eyestrain and provide a universal environment that is easy to read.

I agree that the colour scheme makes this too difficult to read - back to the drawing board please.

Tikay mentioned a forum that had a go at Mickey Wernick recently - anyone know which forum and when it was posted?

It was on Milkybarkid's poker blog.

You will need to be somewhere where there is a hotspot.  T-mobile seems to have the best coverage (in many Starbucks) and you can sign up for a monthly service.

I just checked out some of the other videos - do you think this guy was playing online poker at the office?

Not a problem, you are allowed to project any kind of body language.  It is not cheating.

I do run Norton and remember that there was a problem with this some time ago which is probably the problem again.  I am not too keen to turn my virus protection off though.  Thanks for the replies.
