A Round with Tighty

Hand four button seat 6

Dempsey raises to 900, utg

Mahmood makes it 1850

in the big blind Watts calls, Dempsey calls

all check a   flop

Dempsey leads for 3,400 on the   turn. Watts calls

River

After a long think Watts checks, Dempsey checks

Watts reveals   stating "I couldn't bet, what do I do if you shove?"

Dempsey "I had Nines"

yeh shouldn't bet, he wasn't gonna call anyway.

+Andy Hulme (stato1). Though I understand he had middle set in the set over set over set hand and is down to 4k.

defo in for this. set buyin is much preferred to deciding on how much to play for each leg.

Hand 2....... Hmmm. You didn't half make the other guy's life easy.

You basically just bluffed a potential winning hand and are only ever getting called when you're beat.

Any Tx combo calls as well as 88/99

obv not shoving for value, trying to fold out 99> which I thought represented the majority of his range (it was only 3bet pre, not 4bet as suggested earlier). I thought he'd get it in pre w/ JJ+ maybe TT too. Also I avoid being bluffed off my hand by AQ AJss on future streets by just taking it down now. That was my thought process anyway. I'm sure there is some merit to this but checking back and giving up probably is the best line.

Flat pre to under rep when you hit would've been much more profitable.

rele??

second is horrible, given the arkward stacks and how strong the peeler should be, Id be sigh giving up

The AK hand is ok, I'd bet half pot and call it off though. Once you 4bet pre you can only bet/call on T77 when the guy has just over pot behind.

ul dave, I think DMorgan may never agree with you!
14424  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: 2 MTT spots on: December 14, 2010, 10:14:46 AM
yeh played these both bad I think. Shouldnt lose anymore with AK and I think c/c and c/r the river with the J8 is best. Get him to continue with his bluffs and might get some more value out of sets/2prs and the bottom end str8.

agreed. i played this bad.
14427  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: should we be getting this in on the flop? on: December 14, 2010, 12:13:35 AM
yeah the guy wants to goto a war with a hand your favourite to win ofcourse you want to get it all in

cant see why you would call min bets

raise to 550 from the 220 and call his shove

if he just flats then open shove the turn

even vs a range of 25at worst?

First Hand, unknown opponent. What's the best line OTF here? Is the turn a fold as played?
14429  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: Mini ftops river line. on: December 13, 2010, 06:42:15 PM
bet folding seems like a std line these days so should we check/raise bluffing river more at higher stakes mtts?

or just raise bluffing the river in pos? the snap shove to any bet could be quite effective?

i mean, giving the majority of ppls reaction to this snap shove, any decentish player will be folding all but the very top of their range. On boards like this we could double float in pos with ATC then snap shove the river. Maybe the only hand in hero's UTG raising range that bets all 3 streets that will call a river shove is QQ? or 99? just an idea...too fancy?

disclaimer: not sure if hero was UTG here, but in theory...

how many ppl are regs in the game u paly?

also is that chinese tom a winning player? he tilts the hell out of me. Has such a dirty tash and thinks he is awesome

lol me and him are probs the only 2 winning regs (not hard at gala though). but there's a bunch of other ppl that play there all the time, its quite a small player pool. i kno what u mean about Tom lol his betting action is enough to send anyone on raging tilt.

im outta there now though, dtd from now on Smiley
