Think I'd rather cbet the flop than not, but I'm definitely betting the turn as played; don't think it has to be all-in, think $80-100 works well, but depends if you think you can get him off two pair with that sizing which you probably can't, but can you get him off two pair with a jam?

Going for an audition for this on friday! My 2nd, failed the first one, but have improved since then. My housemate has already been on, ~ 10 years ago, and is going on again soon. Expect him to rip things up when he does get on, likely to get aired in the last quarter of 2013, name of 'Alex Fish'.

Not to toot my own horn but I raised ~£14k over two successive years. It's not particularly difficult to raise money, you just have to pester the hell out of people. It's sales, but it's far removed from selling actual products to friends or asking them to invest in something, because it's for a good cause (in theory).

If you're still planning on running, there will likely be a spot for you with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, but you will have to raise I think a minimum of £1.5k.

I remember a few years back there was this guy on the poker scene from Birmingham way called Tyrone. He actually played in the first series of Late Night Poker, and he always said that he was a "Professional Roulette Player".

I'm not far from being a professional roulette player. I'm up a lot from it. Pretty boring though

The cost of SSDs is justified and has gone down a lot. You should prefer to spring for an SSD over an i7, for sure.

Wazz have you never done someone in this industry a favour not in the hope that you get something back?

I pray to god i leave the poker world having done more favours than having received more, pretty sure Trigg, Camel, Julian etc would all fit into that bracket as well. Seems to be the 'newer breed' don't fell that way and always need to make sure they get the best of it.

Of course I have and of course I will. But I won't get f***ed over again, tyvm, like I have done time after time when I'm too generous. On the whole I won't do for someone else what I wouldn't ask them to do for me.

I'm not looking to make sure I always get the best of it, I'm just looking to make sure I don't get the worst of it. A lot of the time these two goals will overlap.

only just saw that you made it £8, people often just don't care that it's £1/2 and will call a pfr to £20 so go ahead and make it bigger. Definitely a c/f on the river, there's nothing for him to turn into a bluff and it's unlikely he'll call or even have worse at this point.

Hand 3 I could actually imagine smashing it in pre but ofc calling is fine. Flop and turn are good - turn closer than flop - river is probably a call but it really depends what mood you think he's in. If you have considerable history with villain this comes into play much more than any advice anyone on the forum could give - unless you share some of that history?

Hand 4 it's awkward but I think we can find a fold. We've shown a lot of strength, we block AQ, KQ just got there and we've given him a chance to just flat with draws and he's declined. Looks like he's trying to get more money into the pot with the best hand.

Hand 1 pre flop sizing is a big leak minimum 35 here with both bluffs and value.

I dunnow, I tend to make it this sizing with my entire range against regs (whether or not we have history) not expecting him to fold very much but expecting to be able to outplay him postflop with the betting lead and position. Being £380 deep makes me want to make it slightly bigger, say £30, though.

Postflop strap yourself in and go all-in, expect to win the pot about a third of the time if I were to make a ballpark guess.

Hand 2 I don't see how much you made it preflop? Pot sizes are crucial to how to play the hand, makes a huge difference if you made it say £7 or £15, both of which could be standard.

I don't mind the flop check personally but once no-one bites and a draw pops up on the turn I go ahead and lead. If I check it's to check-jam. As played I'm calling the river because screw you if you got there.

However I defer to honeybadger who knows nlhe through and through.

I try not to make it a habit of repping boats on the river in PLO, let alone NLHE! That said, river raises do tend to get a lot of respect so if you think it'll get through go ahead and pull the trigger.

Think calling preflop with J3s is a big mistake. Make it K3s and I might call. Would rather 34s.

Def getting it in here hand 1 for reasons already mentioned. Sizing and the fact that it's an $11 turbo are the biggest reasons.

Hand 2 I don't mind the flat most of the time; not really that bothered about blance but in general our range is going to be stronger when we 3b pre from the blinds before antes. Happier playing postflop with an underrepped hand. As such I'm not folding the flop, he's going to have to barrel and I'm often calling both flop and turn.

Not many, but do we really think he's calling with JJ+ 50% of the time? That's just one hand.
