Are there no antes in all midweek comps and has rake been re introduced rather than raking the pp?

Next week - antes from 100-200 (level 2)
Reg fees all £5 on evening comps

I assume there is one xxl per night and you can choose what buy in level you have and either start with 20k, 40k or 60k chips.

Spot on.

Simon, if you buy in for £20, can you re enter? Or is it a case of making your buy in decision at the start and it plays as a freeze out regardless of the buy in?

Hi Greg

You can buy in for £25, £50 or £75. Say you buy in for £25 for 20,000 chips (blinds start at 50-100, 20 minclock)- if you bust out you have the option to re-enter ONE more time for £25 (20,000 chips), £50 (40,000 chips) or £75 (60,000 chips).

Late registration is only for 5 levels of 20 mins, so I don't expect many players to bust out and therefore re-enter starting with at least 200 - 600 BB's - but the option is there - we tried FO's last month and they drilled - players want the option before they will get in car and travel nowadays. This tourney will be less 'gamble' than a reload and may suit different bankrolls and also suit players who can't get the club till later as they can buy an average stack. 7pm start time means am earlier finish - 2am - 2.30am.

As with all new ideas - we can only try! Night comps are tough to pkayers - players all want different buy ins / different formats / different start times / different finish times / different clocks and chips......only thing in common is players expect a big prizepool at DTD every night and every weekend!

The Big Game- is that a 'have multiple entries and take your biggest stack through' format?

You can take your highest stack through although no one ever plays again once they have made day 2 so that rule is 99.9% irrelevant.

The prev Big Game was £500 day 2 buy in - this time we have reduced to £300, almost identical format to last year apart from that.

XXL25/50/75? Does that mean there's 3 different XXLs each week night? Or is it £25 with 2 Re loads?

Yes - there are NO reloads. Players choose what chips they want to start with before entering and the £25 players have 200 BB's at the start - blinds 50-100. I expect the £50 and £75 players to buy in later when the average stack is higher.

I didn't want to clash with GUKPT. This was the ONLY week that Rob could agree with WPT due to their commitments at WPT Paris and WPT Prague. We have done 3 back to 2000 entry events, Grand Prix, WPT Warm Up and WPT 500,  been a long 3 weeks and WPT Main not even started yet! Cheers Aces
43  Poker Forums / The Rail / WPT 500 Wednesday Update on: November 12, 2014, 11:23:43 PM
WPT 500 Wednesday Update: 194 entries today taking us to a total of 624, needing a massive 1376 before Day 2 starts on Saturday. Friday will be the make or break day as usual - we have no capacity problems with 75 tables at our disposal - so please do not worry about being turned away-we added the extra capacity for this very reason - so we could break our attendance record at the Club. Can we hit the 2000?
44  Poker Forums / The Rail / WPT 500 Update on: November 12, 2014, 08:12:28 AM
WPT 500 Update - Here is the tale of the tape so far for the WPT 500, we now start to enter the 'business end of the event' - to hit the magic 2000 entries it looks like we will need to break our DTD record on Friday for 'most players dealt to in one day' - but that's exactly why we added the extra 25 tables - let's hope we will be using them! As you can see from the table below - we still have 347 players who have not chosen their day - if that is you please email glenn@dusktilldawnpoker.com with a quick Facebook message to confirm your chosen day. Cheers Aces

Work now started for the WPT, 2 marquees being put up to allows us to have dedicated 30 extra table cardroom for sats, STT's and so we can still run an 8pm evening comp for our locals.....
