5 left on the final table, including Keith Johnson, who is currently the chip leader, on 1.8m of the 4.9m in play. If anyone wants to follow his progress, updates can be found on the PS blog.

The inaugural Eureka Poker Tour event, taking place at the Card Casino in Prague is well underway. A total of 329 players took their seats over 2 starting days on Thursday and Friday and now 98 have returned for day 2. Several Brits still entered but while Mike Hill, Neil Rawnsley and Will Frost all exited yesterday, James Keys, Mitchell Johnson and Keith Johnson are still in the chase for the €58,400 first prize. James wasn't even going to play, but when I told him he could still potentially finish 2nd in this and make it to Snowfest on time, he took one look at the rain coming down outside and decided to eschew his intended plans to go for a walk round Prague. He took his seat just a few minutes before the late entry period closed.

Today they will play nine levels or until they get to the final eight. This is how they line up:

Good luck to all who play. Been only 8 months since I left, but it feels like a long time ago. Have a lot of good memories of GUKPTs at the Vic so hope its another good one for all the players, staff and bloggers. Out in Prague right now for the first of the new Eureka Poker Tour events, which also starts tomorrow. Looks like it will be a good turnout.

Buy-in seems a bit low. Surprised they took the affordable option instead of going for a more interesting one of say $500,000 (with rebuys).

Good luck for the future Julian, fwiw, I think you're a great ambassador for the game, whether you have a sponsor or not.

On another note, I lol everytime someone talks about sites 'snapping' people up.

Slovenia does actually use the Euro and in most of the other countries, their casinos usually choose the Euro over their own currency for gaming purposes. It also keeps it more consistent and avoids currency exchange issues for online satellites, which are all in Euros.
