Which exotic destination should you take your girlfriend to when money is no object? I fail to see how more brags could be crammed into one question.

Nut place to stay for you and your missus in Hawaii please?

Assume money is next to no matter and it must be somewhere she will enjoy almost as much as my 9 inch cock.

GUKPTs are a lot more expensive to update than DTD events Jase, 4 days minimum plus it's a big ask to get one person to update all 4 on their own, so 2 are preferred. Looking at 4 figs for one event for a proper 2 man update. Not only that but any event not at DTD is harder to update for a few reasons, most notably inability to identify players properly/location of updating areas/issues with TDs at important times (I've updated GUKPTs where I've been unable to get anywhere near the action on the H4H bubble, for example).

IIRC the last GUKPT you updated was in January 2008. Although I am no longer involved with the GUKPT, I think your comments are a little outdated as by the time I left things had definitely changed regarding many of the negatives you mentioned, notably:

1. Identifying players was definitely not an issue, in fact this was the first tour to give players ID cards and do full chip counts on breaks. This was in place even in 2007.
2. Updating areas at most of the events were right next to the tournament area from mid 2008 onwards
3. Any decent TD should restrict access to the playing area during the bubble, both for the players' comfort to stop crowding of the table by spectators during all-ins and so that the hand-for-hand can be efficiently managed. Press still had access but the number allowed inside the ropes at any one time was limited.

Cant vouch for how things have been managed in the last 12 months since I left, but that was the situation this time last year.

Surprised you backed Tisparevic to win his 1st round match. After his blow up in the Eastbourne last weekend, it would have been difficult for him to get himself into the right state of mind, extra day rest or not. He deserved a first round exit after his pathetic hissy fit and eventual withdrawal when Seppi was 15-0 up and serving for the title.

I'm just asking a question, the answer to which may or may not clarify the motive for posting that Jon MW alluded to. It's certainly nothing to do with my work.

Is your company currently in the process of buying a poker network?

Just got an email from Full Tilt entitled "When to slow play"

At first I misread it and thought it was an update on their withdrawals situation.

Statistically, 2 out of 3 Riga taxi drivers will rip you off.

Statistically, if I stay here long enough, 2 out of 3 Riga taxis will have their back seat upholstery covered in ink.

A Situationist response to the scamming taxi driver phenomenon.

Not superstitious, but everytime I'm in a hand and my girlfiend calls me (live or online), I lose the hand, whether I answer the call or not.

"If you agree to stake me to place football bets on betfair, 10% of the value of bets I make will be automatically deducted from your account"

Could be a winner for someone.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. The venue in Prague has a reputation for having the best dealers in the country and the TD/Manager Vaclav Rychtarik is very experienced and extremely competent. This was one of the main reasons we decided to use this venue and all things considered, i would be happy to go back there. That said, the venue by their own admission did have a few newer dealers working during the event, so although the overall standard was pretty good, there may have been a few who were not so skilled amongst them.

We will have our own TD at all the remaining Eureka events this year to ensure consistency and maintain standards, but dealers and floor staff will largely be provided by each venue. The next stop in Nova Gorica is at the Perla Casino, which is one of the largest in Europe and they have a lot of experience running poker events - The IPT goes there regularly, as do several other tours. The Bulgarian event is also at a casino we have previously held an event at and is also a well run and managed venue. For almost all our tours we have control over how the main event and side events are run, but usually cash games are run by the venue rather than by us. I will however pass your comments on the ruling on to the Card Casino Prague, as I am sure they will find it useful feedback.

We're considering having a high roller side event at one or two of the stops later in the year and I'm also working on a new format that I hope to be able to run at a Eureka event at some point.
