Sorry, Mr Farmer, but I can't agree.
Can't help but think anyone who has any affiliation to sky is going to get a lot of grief if they reply. I'm surprised you're surprised tikay hasn't commented tbh.
It really isn't theft in my eyes,
If it aint theft why would they get grief? Ive got no issues my self, each site has its own policies, my point maybe misread however. My meaning being if there is an option to unregister, then the full buyin should be reimbursed. If there is no option then there should be no deceiving button, or at the very least a pop up warning of a lesser prize surely?

Thought tikay may have had an input to this?
Imo having the in reg button is deceiving given skys policy, which is ok really, if you play a sat for a seat, sit in it, late reg or not. If you don't play you lose it. Simple enough to follow if that is the rule. If you can unregister you should definately get the full seat value, whether t$ or $. Getting the sat. Alue is pure theft. No other way to put it.

Like has been said, common sense should prevail, he (and anyone else who does this, myself included sometimes) obviously meant 3200, ok it's an underside so min click should be the raise. People have pulled me up on it in the past, I've seen it done to others many times. In my opinion a simple clarification question is at most what it needs. Anyone trying to imply a larger bet instead (ie 32k) are splitting hairs, prob sat there with AA and tbh showing a distinct lack of respect to the player and game in general.

My vote is to keep them, yes it can slow the hands/hr a bit but they are good for the game at all levels. As has previously been said the more aggro players do adjust and create action even in low buyin comps. IMO having antes delays the inevitable shove/fold crapshooty stage of turbo comps.
When all is said and done, if the average stack has dropped to 5 BB, the structure is not to blame, the players are! Nitting up waiting for the bubble to burst causes this 90% of the time because theres a lot of players out there who are happy with a min cash, especially at lower level buyins, taking home a small profit after having a fun night playing poker. I'm not saying I've got a problem with this or that its wrong, a cash is a cash, this happening is an important part of learning the games dynamics, but changing the structure in a 1 day comp wont have much effect other than how long it takes to get to that stage.

Poker
Fully intend to post more in here instead of just browsing around like a recluse, I could probably learn a lot and might even find I have something to give back too. I'm also aiming to travel further for poker and play a wider audience- targeting at least one full festival and at least a session in the Vic - never played there always fancied it. Lastly on my poker list is to play a live PLO comp.
The life list
To do my VAT returns on time, getting fed up of the surcharges but they're so draining!! Get a car that does more than 30mpg! I've had an allergic reaction to these but I suppose I have to grow up at somepoint, fast and/or 4x4 ain't always best. I will also pledge to spend more time with the family, even if it means teaching the eldest (he is 8 now) the basics of holdem!
That's it for me, see how I go.

Leeds grovsenor westgate (gala) used to penalise with 1 sb 1bb but have now scrapped it and replaced with a 10% bonus for registering on time and being at the table when first hand is dealt. Top and bottom of it is they want you inside the place for longer to spend your money.

Leeds Westgate PLO game for the slowroll king. I wont name him but all the regs will know who I.m on about, the guy is a legend for it, he even slowrolls a losing hand, so often (every time a bet is matched on a river card) that everyone is completely immune to it now and no one is ever suprised at which 4 5 or 6 cards he turns over.

Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: WHY PROS ALWAY SAY " FIELD IS SO SOFT"

Thought this was an apt thread for my first post
In both my full and part time professions I encounter some 'soft fields'. But in neither one do I broadcast the fact so everyone can come and spoil it. If possible I don't want people driving in a soft field the same as I don't really want a soft cash game (my main battle ground) to be overrun by better players.
