Probably a new player. Did you have any reads on him at all? How did he get his stack up to what it was? Certainly don't mind how you played the hand. Remember that putting money into the pot even in a passive manner shows strength. Could make a case for not shoving river and making a read/notetaking after showdown.
Unlucky hand all in all. Appreciate it can be frustrating losing these big pots as they always seem to undo a lot of hard work.
Actually don't mind how you play this hand. You leave the last decision with him and in the process give yourself some fold equity. How would you say the villain perceives you? This is an important question and something that will undoubtedly help you improve if you keep track of how you are viewed.
I would be interested to hear what you think he could have preflop in his range and on the flop.
Always opening value hands 4/5x pre at the early levels. Would be happy to check behind the flop and obviously betting most turns if checked to, and evaluate any turns he bombs.
Pleno is on here daily asking standard questions, so he can improve and neither of us will likely be as good as him at any point in the near future so fire away imo. :-)
First impressions here for me. Fold pre. Its going to be horrible playing this hand OOP all the way. Guess im not being very helpful here but the whole line felt a little weird to me. If he does have a genuine hand here we are in bother obviously. Prefer to at least wait a hand until we have position over this guy. Make our life easy. Massive nit here though so take it with a pinch of salt.
Normally make my opens slightly larger than 2x here with Antes. And for me its a pretty clear fold to his Jam. Knowing that he is a solid winning reg would increase the likelihood that he has a solid hand with this Jam. Next hand.
Also you have to factor in number of tables you are playing. Have seen this question asked awhile back and the results seemed to be fold pre. Guess from this position the hand is also pretty face up should we get a call.
Watched the hand on Boom before reading any of the comments and would have three bet to 1500/1600 here preflop. As stated above a lot of action still to happen behind us. As it is here the BB is getting really nice odds to play his hand. Would not mind passing to a possible four bet. Playing the hand in this manner will increase the likelihood of playing the hand in position on the flop.
And personally wouldn't get too fruity on the river but I am also rather nitty.
These 180's are really all about that first place. Having the guy who is willing to blind down to 1bb on the CO might actually help here aswel since the payjump between 4th and 3rd is significant to us mere mortals. With gameflow considerations by this point I'm normally playing way more aggressive then at any point in the 180.
"Every multi tabling mtt player has to be able to tilt shove... Say you have 6 tables and u tilt shove all 6 of them with 20 bbs you will probably suck out on at least one of them and now you will have 40bbs and be in with a great shot of getting a top 3. Also after you have sucked out you will have lucky chips and won't get any bad beats in big pots, so as long as you don't donk it the prize money is as good as yours.
Not wanting to big myself up too much but I am 1 of the BEST at tilt shoving. The WCOOP 2nd chance event that I got 2nd in for $45k (obv brag) I tilt shoved 20 bbs with 92 soooooted into ak and sucked out with 400 left. These lucky chips got me to second place... If i had played properly I would probably of got my aces cracked or something."
