Number of Americans killed on battlefields in all wars in history: 1,396,733
Killed by firearms in the US since 1968: 1,516,863
(NYT)
The most interesting fact I have seen this week, thank you. I am sure Trump will be able to add to them figures......both figures.

Yo Mr Mintcake... Listen to them Doctor folk please...they do know their stuff. Take it easy but do try and look after yourself at the same time. You have done bloody brilliant with giving up the cigs, so make sure you do the same with your general health and diet etc. I saw Sergio Garcia wearing his Green Jacket at his wedding the other day........will you be wearing your purple one to yours? Vegas money received today with thanks. 16 weeks of DTD games paid for...cheers. I still feel it would of been at least double that if Jeeves was with you on that trip though. Very much appreciate the advice you have recently given me too. Years of wisdom being put to good use.

At least one of you can play...
My my, very well done Adam. Details please? And what were you doing playing J-7? Little tip for you - you want cards that match. A jack & another jack, that sort of thing. J-7 is just silly. Cheers Tony It was a £150 side event in the MPN Poker Tour held at the G Casino Bury New Road, Manchester. 114 runners one day event. Actually chopped it evenly 3 ways but I took the trophy as I had biggest stack due to cracking KK to knock out the 4th place finisher. Watching John Hesp obviously had a positive impact on my game. Incidentally, this was the same casino where I played my first ever live tournament way back in 2009 and where we met you for the very first time...what was the tournament I hear you ask...well the SPT of course, looking forward to trying to become a double winner next weekend. Very well done Adam, congrats. Nearly 8 years since we first met at that SPT? Good Lord, how time flies. I remember it fairly well actually. How many of these do you remember? http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=38885#4/9 for me. DanTB....OnlyoneCT....Sir Dollie....& Jaegerbomb. Great result Adam BTW......Sky Bet has just opened a book on SPT Manchester and you have gone joint fav..........with bates obv You don't recall the 2 chaps who finished 4th & 6th? Oh....yes I know Maggiesdad but didn't recognise the name. Yes, I think Ryan Day is still playing the circuit (snooker). My 1st SPT was at Luton......where the 'star' was John McCririck. Mmmmm. ......so apart from Adam Bromley, will they be any other stars at SPT Manchester? Headliners will be Natterley Bromley & Matt Bates.I said stars. Or did you think I meant ...... Sharks That Are Really Short *waves* to Nateeerrrrrleeeee

Morning all.
With nothing scheduled now until Wednesday, I had a bit of a look round to see if there were any little Tourneys I could play today, tomorrow, or Tuesday.
My eyes alighted on a little $120 PLO8 @ Orleans Casino, & I thought that might be fun, at little cost.
Then I looked at the juice - entry fee is $94, & the reg fee is $26.
Just the 28% then.
Think we'll swerve that.
Orleans also have an $80 PLO8 on Tuesday week. That's $58 + $22 reg fee. 38% juice? YBA.
There is also a WSOP $1,500 PL & NLH 8 handed "Mix" tomorrow (Monday). Mildly tempted by that, but will see how I feel tomorrow.
Do you find you are sensitive to rake when working out what to play? Not normally Matt, no. Think the situation is different when a player has sold action though. Raise. Like you care about us poor stakers back in blighty....... 1) You have more than one occasion on this trip got to day 2 in comps and then busted before the cash. 2) You have then 'given away' a large % of our winnings by tipping the dealers too much after a win. 3) You did not employ Jeeves this year to keep you under control. You have prob spent all the profit in Lap dancing clubs and by going to back street reefer parties. Joking aside (all the above is banter, just in case anyone takes it the wrong way), I think you should go for that MIX game.....just sit out on the NLH orbits and you will piss it.
