1) I was disappointed in the deal being done so quick when it got to H/U TBH. For the followers of the live stream, it was like a F1 race finishing 10 laps from the end. However, having never been in that situation, I understand it was the players choice to do want they wish, but would of liked Sky Poker to of perhaps evoked DTD's rule of 'no deals'.
I am not having ago just it always find it strange people object or don't understand when deals are done. Unless Poker becomes an spectator sport and the people entering it don't pay for the privilege of playing then they should/could do whatever they want in terms of deals. Making a MTT no deals just means more problems, unrest and 5am finishes. I totally understand why deals are done, as I run some pub games where I have to work out deals sometimes. Not the same i know, but I didnt 'object' to it, I was just dissapointed by it. My point was I honestly thought that DTD had a no deal policy now, and as a neutral viewer, would of liked to see more of the H/U battle.

Just to respond to point 4, Alan
There were chat box updates accompanying the live stream for a couple of days, and it was a conscious decision to put all the Sky Poker content on there rather than on a forum page where its tricky to update satisfactorily because the forum isn't that user friendly (no card notations, photos difficult etc etc) for an updater
At the same time, because there were many blondes going deep in this and because blonde is associated with DTD, it made sense for me to update periodically on here too . I wouldn't do the same for a Sky Poker Tour event that wasn't at DTD, but various stars collide when SPT, DTD, blonde members are at the same event......
As you say, many hats syndrome!
Thank you for your considered response. Like I said in the post, it was just an observation and I do fully understand how hard you do work at these events and I was by no means trying to reflect from that. Maybe the Sky Poker Forum could do with an update to a more user friendly version?

I have decided to post here rather than next door as I have enough haters and slaters there!
2) The discussion of tips etc was unfortunate to be heard by all on the stream but that has since been explained now. I would however like to flip it the other way though and say I am glad that I heard it, as it would not of crossed my mind before, but will do now if ever I am in that position in the future.
3) Still unsure about a 'book' being opened by players participating in the event. Again, unsure of the relevance of this point but this maybe should of been kept in house on here and not broadcast on the live stream?
4) As a prominent Sky Poker event, should the updates be more concentrated on that forum rather than on here? I understand that members here would only want to follow members from here. I also understand that those who wear two hats, it is a juggling act between the two and I can envisage how difficult it can be at times.
I hope the above is taken how it is meant to be BTW, which is constructive critism/observation. If not, flame away.......
**Finally, well done Mr Rob Young on his performance in the event and his donation of his winnings to charity**.

There is also the complication that I'll probably be commentating.......Thankfully, the mute button is in perfect working order. So.....about these extra/special sats this week?? Any news yet or shall I start a 200% staking thread to see how I get on with that? Alan, There will be two "winner takes all" Satellites tonight, again tomorrow, & again on Thursday (8.45 & 9.40). They each have a £6 entry tag, and are capped at 40 runners. Thank you Tikay. I did spot them last night and played a £6 sat, a £9.60 sat and the AIPF sat with alas no joy. I am at a meeting tonight and out Thursday night so I am unable to attempt any then, so my last chance saloon will be on Wednesday night.

I asked this question on the live stream of the 500 last night but it got ignored/by-passed/laughed at. Great job in the booth Mr Prew BTW....I really enjoyed watching that last night to the finish.
Q. Is that live stream (used last night) ever going to be used at SPT events coming up?
I obv do not know costs involved and the like, but after the failure of any live stream at the SPT Final last month, would this not fit the bill for all those who do not make the event plus any family or friends who wish to follow the action?
Will there be any 'special' sats this week for this? AIPF ones or poker points/turbo ones? I am trying to sat in still but finding it difficult with the lack of number of runners/seats available ATM.
Hi, Didn't spot your question last night and wouldn't have ignored it! The use of the DTD live stream is a cost issue. Sky obviously employ NutsTV to provide a stream for the whole weekend, around various tables. Not sure it makes great sense to then stop their feed for the final and use DTD's stream, incurring another set of costs Special sats, yes I believe so AIPF ones. tikay might be able to help further or I will post when I know for sure TY. I thought it might be a cost issue, but totally understand now that it would not really work for SPT's at DTD for your reasons stated. I hope Phil tests all his gear out on the Friday night this w/end now, and brings half a dozen spare mother boards/pc's/assistants with him too. Only 80 out of 150 seats gone so far. looking forward to see what specials are put on this week. I know it will sell out regardless though.

I once worked as a Junior (the old YTS) at an Insurance Brokers long before all these H & S rules were brought in. I remember my induction course in the 1st week where I was given two basic rules of thumb....
1) An ACCIDENT, by definition, is an UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCE. 2) The ONLY difference between insurance and assurance is one 'might' happen, one 'will' happen.
Another one, which I will add, is what is the main difference between illegal and unlawful??......................
(the second one is not a sick bird!)
I will get my coat!
