I had a good August but a bad start to September tweaking my back squatting a couple of days ago. I'm annoyed with myself as I still had some residual fatigue and had slept badly but decided to 'man up' and push through. Gotta listen to the body, lesson learnt (again).

I like the idea of volume over weight for now. Muscle memory to come back and then bigger stuff should shift easier down the road.

No play over allowed at the Vic.

Might be worth going back just to see that not happening!

Yes just don't use it. It's another mechanism to extract money from recreational players.

If you're uncomfortable with the amount in the pot to be running the deck once/twice on a flip, then sit out before.

I moaned it in successfully and my gym has reopened. It's ideal as there's only 5-7 other people there in the mornings before work currently. Lots of cleaning and going on and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere.

My body is in absolute bits this week though from this and a little football training.

Bench is the only movement not in the bin weight-wise so far, I guess all the lockdown pressups is the reason

My gym is still shut until further notice Sad

Everyone Active really are struggling with the local councils for whatever reason. I fear they may be busto

I think it won't be too difficult getting sessions booked. Very few of my friends (late 20s) are keen to return. I use EveryoneActive which has an older crowd generally and I think they will all be staying away.

As my nearest gym from home is a 2.5 mile walk my tentative plan is to go only twice a week but go balls to the wall each time. I won't be showering there or using the changing rooms.

I saw him live a few years ago and it was fairly disappointing. The lesson I took is never meet your heroes!

I anticipate there will be spillover into streets like football pubs do on matchdays at many pubs.

Pubs switching to full table service on first re-opening, I wouldn't be going to one for a good dining experience for a few days at least!

I'm a big Pie fan. Some pieces are so brilliant that unfortunately others pale in comparison

He's one of the few floating around who attacks both left and right effectively imo. Would love to know about any others.

Something that's been bothering me slightly:

The pub closures were announced on a Friday if I remember correctly with closure at mid-night that same day. A lot of people made the most of it that day and were drinking literally 'til they got kicked out and many people berated them saying that they were disgusting/irresponsible.

Is it equally as bad for people to be waiting outside next Saturday for the pubs to open? I can;t imagine the same degree of moaning although it doesn't seem very different to me.

On the Friday Boris said to venues to close as soon as reasonably possible that day. As could be predicted by trusting common sense they were all rammed until closing.

Re-opening on a Saturday is asking for trouble but most businesses will have to go along with it and open. I'm sure there will be queues outside pubs that morning for any outside tables and social distancing will be out the window by mid afternoon.

I'm very critical of the governments response but I smell a big whiff of Aftertime Ansell in his comments

I think govt/SAGE had faith in der models but they were all complete guesswork with far too many unreliable assumptions.

Collectively we were unable to join the dots that an herd immunity strat would overwhelm the NHS until too late.

Then saving the NHS becomes the absolute priority and it all goes to shit in care homes. It has been revealed this logical step was noted in minutes and advice but was passed over at the time.

The PPE and testing debacle is a logical conclusion of a rundown centralised healthcare policy run by a government driven by neoliberal economic policy. Efficient allocation of resources is a theoretical point on a graph and loads of people have died unnecessarily.

One of the things that strikes me it was well-established at the time we were 2 weeks behind Italy.

So we saw it going to complete shit there, but chose not to act timely.

Nice one Doobs. I got that $55 ticket too which made me wonder how much I must be losing. At least it saved me $55 on my buyins yesterday.

Left hand, right shoulder, like a poker pro. Buff.

So he definitely is a guesser clicking buttons and post-fitting reasons to results
