So many lessons to be learned here but the main one has to be when an expert (arbboy) starts giving rational reason why things are obviously not what they seem try listening instead of attacking him even though he knows probably more than the lot of you put together.

All hail Arbboy and for those who attacked him so vehemently it is hard to feel any sympathy for their losses when they attack the one guy who was really trying to help them.

For all the innocents caught up in this I have extreme sympathy but there are several on this thread who seemingly got exactly what they deserved!

Is that before or after she makes me my tea? Wink

Surely this is similar to the tennis rankings where Venus Williams would not even beat the mens player ranked a 1000 Aspade

I have no problem with women playing poker and seeing as all I do is play poker its probably the only way I get to meet women but until they prove they are equal to men at the tables then it is fair to say that when it comes to poker they are the weaker sex.

Have you not noticed that just about all the high profile women players are attractive?  Do you think it is just coincidence or that the sponsors are the most sexist of all cos they are not really looking for talented women players and are only looking for women who can play and are good looking?

As for the best female player it is undoubtably Annie Duke for me who I believe is the only woman who is anywhere near the level of the top male players.

Only three?

1) Victoria Beckham, she is unintelligent, talentless, thin to the point of anorexia, plasticly remodified and downright ugly.
2) Traffic Cops, Sick of hearing chief constables say they need more police on the beat.  Correct, take them off traffic (or the motorist persecution squad) and put them back on the job they are meant to do in the 1st place. e.g. Catching criminals and making the streets safe.  As you drive around look out for policemen and count how many are traffic cops and how many ordinary cops.  You will be scared by the result.
3) Devilfish, no need for any explanations apart from the fact he is probably the most over-rated poker player on the planet!

, any suits is my personal favourite to raise with, I like it because if u r called and you miss it is easy to lay down but if the flop comes K or Q high then 8/9 out of 10 I will be in front.

It is also east to lay down to a re-raise pre-flop.
14  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: £100 Pot Limit Tournament - Grosvenor Walsall Festival - Final table Collusion on: February 27, 2006, 11:15:58 AM
'The following then happened, Local player in seat 9 raises another local players big blind (seat 3) and the player in seat 3 then proceeds to have a slanging match with the player in seat 9 saying that they agreed not to raise each other.'

Upon hearing those words I would have gone absolutely bananas, it is one thing suspecting collusion but verbal confirmation means action MUST be taken.  I would have demanded disqualification for the two players involved.

This is just plain cheating IMHO and cannot be tolerated, the fact that the management did nothing does not suprise me as when ever I have played at Walsall I have been unimpressed with the staff running one of Grosvenors flagship poker sites.
