Hi snoop, my opinion on the hand is as follows:

I re-raise it up pre-flop with AKo in sb, to around 270, 300. Few reasons, a) you say you try to trap him, if he's button raising steal 45 in chips then its quite worthless, maybe AJ - Axs are the only hands u like to trap. b) he's likely to throw suited connectors in this spot, and depending on the player low pocket pairs.

With the flop the way it comes, there are varying ways to play this hand. Betting out is fine, but when he raises, I dont feel he particularly has just a high club, so you can fold (bet to see where you are works), and moving over the top of the raise, certainly doesnt look like your holding a flush. I may check-raise him here, try representing the flush but you have top pair top kicker, and if he moves all in, easy fold.

Obviously checking deems to be giving him a free card, but he might also be giving you a free card. If another club falls you can bet it, see what he does (more than likely he'll just call with his set).


In short the hand is a very tricky one, but not one you need to lose all your chips on.(
