Hi Kev, I cannot post on your UKOPs thread but I saw you are considering twitch. I would be very interested to watch you play some tournaments on there, I hope you go for it Smiley

Best of luck for the series.

Worst I've played for a while. Just wasn't feeling it all day, probably something to do with the shit breakfast I had. Also did some really theoretical stuff when I woke up and then went in to play. Don't think this is a good idea as I can't really concentrate on playing in the moment as I'm over thinking everything and making massive changes to my game plan which is never a good idea. Think poker is  large amount of having the confidence to execute your game plan even if theoretically it could be -EV, how many times do we know we should shove or not better and yet still do the opposite? Also set myself a monetary goal for the day which in retrospect was a fairly stupid idea.

Withdrew and paid the rent and can still just about play 100nl, need to play a lot better than I did today though to stay there.

What did you have??? Cheesy

I played you around a month ago at 2p4p, it's some going to be eyeing up 200nl this quickly.

The first couple of hands sound bizarre, iso K2o against loose passive ppl, a hand that flops dogger, then in a similar spot struggle with AT?

Anyway, the 85s hand seems fairly easy to play if you are "Pretty sure there is always going to be a bet with 3 other players in the pot."

Check and then "move all in over the top"  cupcake
4  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: HU Hands - Same Villian on: August 26, 2014, 12:10:59 PM
Some feedback I've received...

Hand 1, Ace is a bad card to rep on the turn as he has a lot more aces here than me. So check turn.

Hand2, bet turn, bomb any A K or 9 river. Makes sense I guess!

Hand 3, bit of a split pot between betting smaller OTT /Jamming

Not sure about the comment re hand 1.

We still have every Ax combo. Sure we'd check back this flop with Ax sometimes but we'd bet it sometimes also.

Even if he does have Ax more often than us, is that enough reason to check back?

Can still fold out some stuff, and when he calls alot of the time it will be with a draw which we can check behind and beat on blank rivers.

edit* like betting turn smaller, 100-120 max.

------------

Bet sizing on hand 3 seems crazy, we probably lose all 3x, 2x, A4, A5, 45, 46, and just bare flush draws that haven't turned a pair.

Just bet enough to set up a river shove.

---------

Hand 2 is wp v villain as described imo.

Think the rake on the site I'm playing now is around 4%.

Have a 4.8% roi on sky hu hypers over a 5k sample overall @ 5% rake (prob > 6.5% if you exclude games above £21)

Standard hyper structure, 500 chips, 10/20 15/30 20/40 etc. but 3 min levels as opposed to 2 mins on sky and other sites I've dabbled on.

Should benefit me really as the standard is still naff. as bad as if not worse than sky.

The orange line just wont go up! Sad

Had to run well above the orange line tonight to only lose 5 buyins!

Thnx for the input so far.

Hi, only my 2nd PHA post, looking for help getting the most out of my tracker!

I've recently purchased PT having converted from sky to sites that support it.
I don't use it a lot in game, my volume is mainly HU hyper sngs @ £20 buyin, I only 1 table, so don't really need it that much.

Baffled by the ev graphs and stuff though.....

My sample over there right now is only around 700 games & I'm slightly down.

But I'm more worried about the graphs within my tracker.

Pokertracker is telling me that my 'c net adjusted' (orange line) is below zero, and has been consistently below zero since around the 70th game.

How reliable is this?

I know all about sample sizes n stuff, on my old site I had 1k+ game break even stretches, but never had any way of monitoring performance.

It feels like I'm bossing games and running bad in terms of 'ungetoffable' & cooler spots, naturally a lot of the time I'm going to be playing 'perfect' yet still getting it in behind.

I'm not worried yet, I know I need to play tonnes more, but having never had this resource available it does put doubts in my mind.

Maybe I've been heatering forever without even realising it!

Any tips on how to get the most out of the tracker for these kind of games?

Cheers.

The most professional, professional foul of all time.

Not often you can win your team 2 points by getting sent off, give the guy a pay rise!!!

Likely DRFC line up.

Ross Turnbull - Signed 1 day before the first league game.

Paul Quinn - On the fringes throughout last season, forced in to the first team due to injuries/players leaving.
Bongani Khumalo - Joined very late in pre season on loan from Spurs.
Rob Jones ©
James Husband  19 year old, very little first team experience, youth team player thrown in due to lack of options/injuries.

David Cotterill
Richie Wellens - Again signed a short term deal the day before the season started having being released by Leicester.
Dean Furman - Played on Tuesday night for SA at home v Nigeria. Will almost certainly have to start, no other options.
Mark Duffy - Unproven at this level, big step up having signed from Scunthorpe late on in pre season.

James Coppinger
Theo Robinson - Signed yesterday afternoon from Derby, in line to start tonight.

Bench - Not much !

---------

I think if this game was played 100,000 times, Blackburn would win more than 500,000 times. That makes 7/4 a really good price, right?

Reccy punter logic Smiley

Recommend some money on Blackburn to win @ Doncaster tonight @ 7/4 ! (365/totesport/berfred)  Cheesy

Wellens has been training with the squad all summer, Husband is extremely well regarded at the club. Quinn has made plenty of appearances in the SPL/Championship before so not sure about inexperienced. However, you got in early enough to beat the price. Wouldn't read much into the home record from last season either.

Didn't say Quinn was inexperienced :/

46 games over 3+ seasons at this level before being released by Cardiff isn't much though.

SPL yes, different league though. Wink

Wouldn't have been a starter until Spurr left & Mccoombe got injured the week before the season. More disruption.

Wellens pre season amounted to 45 minutes v Bradford in the final friendly 6 days before the season started.

Wont even be match fit today.

Needs must Sad

Ok maybe I over-estimated their edge a little. I was in salesman mode Cheesy

I have previously suggested a 'brave' winner with Steven Finns unders (brag), an IPL semi final double (beat) & a wsop main event tip which was a no goer due to thread rules (+ve variance) ! Wink

Kane Williamson a big signing for YCCC going into the final 5 games of the season.

It's about time Sir Geoffery & co forked out a few quid on an overseas player to bring in some guaranteed runs, we can't keep relying on previously genuine 8/9/10 batsmen to bat 5/6/7 and get the scores on the board!

He's certainly 'won the max' with the wage budget the tight git although even if we go on to win the league he'll probably still think of it as 'losing the minimum'.

Basically forfeited the cb40 & T20 competitions, putting all the eggs in the 4day basket. Will be worth it if we can finish the job.

Let's see if I can get a bet on the spreadsheet before Pingu! Cheesy

-----------------------

Can't understand why Blackburn are almost 2/1 to win at Donny tonight?

Doncaster team has been thrown together in the final week leading up to the season, key players in key positions have missed the whole of pre season & the team has played very little together.

Ongoing speculation/uncertainty over a potential takeover/investment which has been dragging on for months now never seems to help.

Drfc played only 1 league game so far, losing 1-3 at home to a similarly poor/threadbare Blackpool side.

Home goal was scored from a corner by biggest goal threat, centre half Rob Jones.

3 days later struggled to a 1-0 home win at home to Rochdale in the Carling cup, again goal scored from a set piece, a header by the other centre half.

Lacking creativity & goals.

2nd game against Wigan postponed due to their community shield commitments, and although it would likely have been a defeat the team has very little experience of playing together & would have benefited from the game time after disrupted pre season.

DRFC home record last season very poor for a title winning team, losing 8 of 23 home games, drawing 5, winning < 50% in a very poor league.

Blackburn look a much more settled club going in to this season, fans finally seem content with the manager.

Impressive performance and solid result in their first away game of the season at Derby, before conceding a late winner in a close fought encounter with fancied Forest.

They'll see this as a big 3 points to kick start their season and only a win will do for them.

Much more experience and quality 1-11, the away bench would all walk in to the home first 11.

Admittedly lost to Carlisle in the cup between league games, but it was a much changed side. tbh fancy their 2nd team would come away with a positive result tonight anyway.

Likely to bring a big following, and the keepmoat pitch which may be a potential leveller later in the season is in pristine condition.
