Don't worry about the negative comments on the forum.
The ones who moan about the club, don't come anyway
Doh, surely that is the point, the ones that moan don't come, often enough cos it could be better.  Take it on board.

Being only a modest club with 3000 members,it is an impossibility to keep everybody happy..i.e. take the heating, some people like it hot, then some prefer it that little bit cooler.
What do you do?
3000 members , average 20 regulars , what does that say ?
some nights are busier than others?

I dont understand why this is degenerating into a slaggin match.

I've been to the cincinatis club but i'm not a regular. Their structures and buy-ins dont suit my style of game but any time i've gone, i've found the people and venue excellent. The games on offer is not to my taste, but there is no reason to criticise them for that - I simply no longer go. Personally i think that clubs have got to market themselves to appeal to the new internet players and i dont think Cins range of games does that (only in my opinion). With Wabash just round the corner offering a different range of games, people in Glasgow have options when it comes to poker. Just choose the game that you prefer. As for heating, smoking, etc, like Damon says, you cant please everyone. These things, for me anyway, are minor issues that i'm willing to put up with to get a 'good' game of poker. If I felt Damon was running the club into the ground, thats up to him and management to sort out. I would simply stop going and let them carry on - not get into a argument with them over a public forum. If they asked why i'd stop going, i'd tell them. It's their club, not mine.

I sympathise with Dave regarding the money but as in the case of Ivey/Ram, i dont have all the details and even if I did, i'm sure there is still a large area of grey. I hope it gets sorted out for both parties.

It's fairly tough reading but actually quite interesting. Would be good to compare your own stats to the combined stats.

He makes some assumptions that just cannot be upheld under scrutiny.

q is the probability that someone goes all in. He states that q^2 is the probability that two people go all in.
The probability that given that there has been a caller to the all in, there is 1/2 chance that the all in player will get knocked out.

These are two sweeping generalisations that he uses to simplify the formula into a nice form but totally oversimplify the situation.

Agree that Fulham could get dragged into it.

Think Sheff Utd look like they are going down. Charlton and WH are starting to get results. Not sure about the final relegation place. Wigan, WH and Fulham will battle it out i think.

Spoke to the credit card company quickly and they said that all gambling is now treated as cash advance so thats why the charge has been made.

Cheers for response.

And no, you cant get my SEAT!!!! Wink

APAT does not charge any payment or refund fees to our members, despite our paying both to our payment provider.

Please provide details of the charge levied to customer@apat.com and we will investigate with Metacharge.

Similarly, APAT are not aware of any Watchdog programme which may have focussed on payment providers or card
charges.

It was a charge from my credit card company and not Metacharge as it came up seperately on my bill. I was just interested in whether or not other Blondes were charged or whether or not it was just my company that was doing this.

Just checked my credit card bill and i got a charge for using my credit card to pay for my APAT seat. Its for a "cash advance". I hardly ever use my credit card so thats how i noticed it. Did everyone get this charge? Its only a few pounds but its more the fact i dont like giving these people any more money than i really need to.

Cheers

Thanks for letting people know. Punters dont know whats going on behind the scenes and this information is important. No one wants to support a club where money laundering is going on.

Elvis was as good as people said he was.

I dont believe Pele was as good as people make out.

I don't believe that Al from Married With Children deserves that much applause just for walking on the set.

I used to quite fancy Leela from Futurama till I realise she was voiced by Peggy. Kind of killed things a bit for me.

Have you seen her on 8 simple rules? Its on ABC1 every day. She's certainly matured well!!

Timberlake imitates Jackson so it should be Travolta or jackson. And the answer would be Jackson!

Ah, see i believe that one. Al is a legend and his struggle stands for all men everywhere. No matter how difficult life is or how much of a headache a girl is gving you, you're life isnt Al's. For that, he deserves our applause in the hope that he can continue to carry on and remind us how bad it could be.

I'd like to add another few.

A pair of sunglassess from sunglasses hut costing more than a 28inch Colour TV from ASDA!!
Bow ties that spin - never seen it in real life.
Old men going out with women younger than their daughters - its just wrong. You're dirty old men - quit it!! Grow old gracefully and spend your money on cars and strippers.
Ships in bottles - who is that impressed by it?
Students eating beans for dinner but going out 4 nights a week
The 3 day texting rule - ridiculous and anyone who follows it deserves a kicking.
Women who dont sleep with you until 3 dates cause they want you to 'respect' them but then tell you about what they got up to in Ayi Napa last summer - i did respect you, i dont anymore, now beat it.

Its monday and i'm going to keep ranting!!
