All the restaurants in Wynn/Encore have vegetarian menus although unsurprisingly very little value to be had in any of them.
The chances are that wherever you eat there are several reasonable options for her to pick from anyway. Even if you plot up at a steakhouse she can order a couple of appetisers and that's more than enough food with their idea of portions out there. Most steakhouses offer several different salads, loads of fish/shellfish (if she eats fish) and various soups/starters. Most resorts have an Italian restaurant too where it is going to be pretty easy for her to find vegetarian options I just don't think she will have any problems out there, no need to go searching out vegetarian restaurants imo.

"Free" drinks
For table games, learn to play pai gow before you go (use wizard of odds simulator for a lesson) or even if not sure you can ask your dealer to set your hand. Tip the waitress and you'll get good service. The game has lots of ties so shouldn't be very swingy. On a full table, it is a slow game, but in a 5* casino you can get enough top shelf spirits to have Marky falling off his chair...
Slots, just be seen to be pushing the button and tip.
If you are drinking bottles of bud light, doesn't matter what casino you are in. If you want decent cocktails, the better the casino, the better the drinks as a fairly hard and fast rule.
The golden rule is to tip...those that don't tip are the ones that the servers avoid and/or complain to the management that you aren't playing "enough"

Hotel bookings in Vegas.
What are the pros & cons of booking direct with the hotel, as opposed to via, say, Boookin.com, Expedia or the like?
Is there much difference?
If I book direct with the hotel, they limit me to 11 nights, so I have to make multiple bookings if I plan to stay longer, but with the booking.com type sites I can book up to 30 nights.
Any other pros & cons?
You gamble as much as I do, which is why I hunt around so much. There is never any danger of me getting comped anything. I saved a monkey by booking my last 10 nights at the Cosmo with lowcostusa, as opposed to direct. I have the same problem booking direct with the Nugget, as they only allow 14 nights, but it's easy enough to just take the other 3 on. Also in the event that there is a problem, the hotel is within their rights to tell you to sort it out with experts. Good luck with that.

Casino definitely should have made more of an effort extracting from you the source of the cards. It really is in their best interests to identify that leak and fix it.
That clearly wouldn't be a good thing for your friend if he is still in the biz. I don't really see a happy ending for anyone in this, at best you get re-instated and your friend gets a visit from security and at worst you both get lifetime bans.
Whilst there was no intent, I think you are just going to have to suck this one up as going into a casino with an unmarked deck of theirs just isn't a good thing to do.

Premium Economy is about 55k points depending on dates, but checked upper and it is now about 180k average.
I think in the deep history of this thread I suggested that PE was twice as good as economy and Upper was 3x as good as premium. I may well have understated the ratios there too, but I was primarily highlighting how much of a steal Upper was on the old reward points tableau of 50k/75k/100k. It looks like Virgin now agree. Ah well, nice while it lasted. You still have a very slender chance of going Upper, simply by enquiring at their sales desk before check-in and if they are under-sold in Upper, they may offer you a decent points deal to upgrade before you check in. (You can predict the likelihood of that being an option by trying to purchase 3 or 4 tickets in Upper yourself the day before to see what availability is like)

I remember playing a Christmas event there and one local very kindly offered to split 1st and 2nd prize money with his mate while me and the other guy could split 3rd and 4th. Pretty even in chips too! So tempting.

I haven';t verified the info but...
Is the high end Ritz Club in London possibly for sale? The Ritz Club, which made a pre-tax profit last year of GBP£8.9 million on revenues of £33 million, could be worth up to £200 million if a deal goes ahead. The brother owners of the Ritz Hotel, Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay, are understood to have appointed a financial consultancy to run a formal sale process for the club on Piccadilly, after receiving approaches from the Far East. It is understood that the Barclay brothers are selling the Ritz Club business with a lease on the premises that runs to 2033.

I've written several priced examples with real time £'s itt at various times. Almost always, the best use of the miles is to have enough to just grab an upper reward seat. Often with various sales on, it is much better value even if you have zero miles to BUY the miles and then redeem the seat than it is to buy the seat and the maths on that is very easy to follow through.
Next best is to line things up so you can buy an econ seat and insta-upgrade using miles into a better cabin class. Obv you need to make sure the availability is there before ending up with miles you can't redeem and travelling in a class you didn't want to travel in.
For those on a budget, just redeeming miles for economy is still decent if it gets you a direct flight and £100 tax bill. Much better than paying £400 to "save money" flying indirect.
The offers of "econ for 10k miles + £280" usually are the worst way to spend them. Quite often you could have used less than that £280 to top your own miles up and redeem for a reward seat right there. Again pretty vanilla maths to work through.
And ofc the absolute worst way is just to pay a walk-on fare a day or two before you want to fly. Poker players are poker players though, and either through laziness/BR doubts/disorganisation often pay more to travel in economy than a well organised person paid to travel in Upper.
