I still talk to a lot of people that really don't understand what happens when they go USD ---> GBP ---> USD. They see signs like "no fees" but don't somehow notice that their $10k turned into $9k along the way washing it through currencies unnecessarily.
While it isn't enough to get WSOP buyins over there, for anyone looking to play lower buyins and some fun money for F&B&E, skrill still have a very good solution.
I'm assuming that the money was won in USD ofc to start with - if you just have £ from wages or whatever, then this isn't any use.
Skrill now have a category 'True Skriller' - none of this €15k/quarter minimum spend for VIP. All you have to do is download the app, veriy the account and make a small initial deposit. You can then get a free Skrill card.
WIthdraw $10k from poker site to skrill.
Turn up in Vegas. Withdraw $1k per day from ATM, or use it at points of sale. So, for example charge everything to the room and pay off your hotel bill with it.
In this way, $1k on Stars becomes $1k in your hand in Vegas, easy to sort and can't really do any better than that.

Pot goes to Mr A9 surely. If the hand is clearly identifiable (i.e. hasn't hit the muck) it is still live. I think to be exact on procedure, the dealer should have taken the folded hand and mucked it before attempting to award the pot to the pair of . Sounds like a great game to be in!

Funnily enough I re-read all this about a month ago. He got his post-count up here with "lol yeah" x300 messages and everyone figured that would be it. While massage-gate was laughable, it was difficult to pinpoint which was worse - the fact that he took 6 months to go to the bank (when he lived in a flat ABOVE the bank) or that he was obvioulsy trying to sell the money for a couple of pips and squeeze a bit more out of it.
As for that Omaha comp, maybe he went out in hand 1, maybe he didn't even enter and you did your money on a non-runner. And maybe he swapped 10% with half the field pre, then made sure he busted out.
