Weird.   My experience of your top five are:

Boyles - restricted me to £4 after one winner.
Paddy - restricted to pennies after a week.
Victor - account shut after four days and winning £1k
365 - I was restricted to £2.45 after my third bet.  Have tried to open up numerous other accounts and all the same.  Had an experience similar to yours with bwin.
Hills - online give me £30 ish occasionally.  I normally use their shops though which are okay ish.

Of your worst five I find Bluesq fine and Bwin lay me a small but fair bet although I use them very rarely.

Interesting...though not surprising

Different day different dollar...Im wondering if its because mine were all sports bets and yours were a lot of  "money horses " ?

Seems a very risky proposition to me, what price do you make Carroll to start? He is outsider on Betfair and twitter this morning was raving about Welbeck's finishing in training.

Let me try and answer in full...

4 strikers  Rooney,Carroll.Defoe ,Wellbeck

Rooney suspended for 2 matches and Defoe not 1st choice and obviously not in best frame of mind after losing his father

If you look on the betfair "to start" market there is no liquidity at all so you cant use this as guidance  (in fact people are wanting to back Carroll at 2.5...and welbeck only has money for him at 3.25 which would indicate Carroll starts )

http://sports.betfair.com/football/market?id=1.105837845&exp=e

and the same can be said of betfairs top english goalscorer market which has Carroll and welbeck near on price but again not enough money to use for guidance

http://sports.betfair.com/football/market?id=1.105472940&exp=e

My man reckons it will be Carroll and the shirt No9 would indicate the same...but regardless even if he does come off the bench 15 -2 is still plenty big enough and represents a decent value bet

I would make it as high as 75/25% Carroll over Wellbeck  (no bets before you ask just my opinion) If so Carroll is defintely  too big at 15-2

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/internationals/euro-2012/england-euro-2012-specials/top-goalscorer

I have had a decent bet on Carroll at 15/2 - I have also heard that Carroll will start via pretty good source at Liverpool, sort of as good a source as it gets. All aboard the FUN4FRASER gravy train

Yes me too Shaun so im surprised at the reports suggesting Welbeck
545  Community Forums / Betting Tips and Sport Discussion / Re: Tips for Tikay on: June 09, 2012, 10:24:02 AM
Sorry Fraser what reasons do you have to think it is Carroll? It seems you are saying both markets can't be used as a guide and then just says my man thinks it will be Carroll.
As I said yesterday I think it will be Welbeck mainly due to friendly performance and link up with Ashley Young but I'm far from sure.
I'd certainly like to know what factors make it 75:25 to Carroll. I reckon it's closer than that. It seems like nobody really knows. Welbeck is shorter for top scorer at top price but more bookies are shorter on Carroll than they are on Welbeck.
Also if he isn't first choice then depending on Welbeck's performances he might not play much at all with Rooney coming back into the mix after the 2nd game.

Dont apologise...its a forum...I have no more information than that which I posted.

Only the manager really knows so we will just have to wait and see

To add balance in the Carroll/Welbeck debate

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/euro2012/article-2156627/Euro-2012-Englands-Danny-Welbeck-start-France.html

Carroll went to Auschwitz yesterday as well. Reports were that no one who was likely to start excluding Joe Hart would be going there as the journey could take a physical toll on the players.I

think its going to be Welbeck...

Sorry ....thats just ridiculous logic !
547  Community Forums / Betting Tips and Sport Discussion / Which Bookies Take a Bet ? on: June 09, 2012, 10:09:36 AM
Having placed some decent sized bets over the last few years and more recently on The Euros it struck me which bookie is willing to stand a bet.

Obviously there are a lot of reasons why some will and some wont such as the type of market ,size of bet, market liquidity or they just want the bets that suit them etc . 90 % of my bets are on high profile /transparant football matches such as the Premier League/Euros where there is generally nothing underhand going on so purely its my opinion versus their "expert" odds compilers.

I have no favouritism or affinity to any bookmakers only my findings and experiences online I will list them in best descending order & highlight if the account is a winning or losing account which of course makes a big difference

I hope this helps people....

The Good

1  Boyles (winning account) Surprisingly..These boys  are #1 in my opinion and take every bet (on high profile markets) that Ive ever placed . Well Done Boyles !
2  Paddy Power (break even account )  Irish boys again that sometimes limit but in the main take everything too
3  Bet Victor (losing account)  they take a lot of my draw no bet/asian handicap premier league  but not sure how it would be if the account was profitable
4  Bet 365 (winning account) Started to restrict me now but still take a good bet if in the mood though not as good as the early days
5  William Hill (winning account)Best of the big 3 ..though now  days I find it better to walk in one of their shops with cash

And the bad

1 Sky Bet (winning account) 2 big winning bets on the premier league they effectively shut me down by restricting to £10 and 20s
2 Stan james (losing account) this is an interesting mob...they shut me down completely despite this  being my biggest losing account online ever
3 Blue Square   wouldnt take a bet at all of any size
4 Coral  (slight losing account) no good on line but sometimes will take a decent cash bet in the shops  ,their favourite online trick  is agreeing a bet then not standing it after you have deposited
5 Bet Fred   Complete waste of time both online and live as hardly  ever best price and dont lay a bet .   Such a tilting outfit !!
6  BWin.com   i tried to open an account this week...dreadful experience  Stay Away

And finally Ladbrokes the magic sign ! They are seldom best price and if they are beware !   they normally are for a reason ,any punter worth his salt is probably best advised to tread carefully or just  stay away after my bad experiences.

It would be interesting to get differing views.

I haven't looked at the detail Fraser, but doesn't Young have to be factored in? Will play every game, somewhere in a top 3, possibly as support striker to one up top. Scores goals, decent player....

Agree with you 100% Rich...the 15-2 still seems very big ,  accounting for Young and most other factor (I can think of )

I can't say I'm really a fan thus far but Word has it that Andy Carroll is going to get the starting spot over Danny Welbeck (Carroll has the No 9 shirt).

If he does start and performs well he could keep his place in a 2 man attack even when Rooney returns.

He is a a very generous price for top English goalscorer for a medium investment but only if you can get the 15-2 on offer at Paddy Power

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/internationals/euro-2012/england-euro-2012-specials/top-goalscorer

I think this is a really good bet and, unlike Fraser, I would be willing to take shorter probably down to 13/2.

You agreed with me ?

Okay...Ive just recovered   Smiley

It looks like our man Kerzhakov is going to be  the main striker for Russia and has been heavily backed...

our 6-1 is looking good value now   Cheers Horneris
