Bad luck Flushy Sad

Bit early for the rubs so apologies, but am I the only one to have noticed Flushy looks like a famous Tv star these days?

Gl for the rest of WSOPE fish.

Watched and saw the hole cards for every hand of the final and have to say Jake impressed me immensely.

Showed how to win a poker tournament without many hands. To be fair Kristoffer Thorsson was his match in many respects and that should have been the heads up game.

There was one amazing hand where Jake took on Thorsson - four-betting him light before Thorsson five-bet shoved with very little when they were both deep stacked. It was one of the best hands I've seen on a big final table, despite it not going to showdown.

But Jake really gave a masterclass of poker and  he seems like such a level headed guy. I expect him to be a world star, in fact in many respects he already is.

Triple crown next?

Truly sick...wp Jake Cody.

Guy tanked for 2 minutes with AA23ds, cant be too careful!

? Obv slowroll.

Ross Boatman, Liv Boeree and Karl Mahrenholz talked about some of the reasons why English players have been smashing it up at the World Series.

Remove link if not ok. Thanks.

Steve Jelinek currently on the final table of the PLO/8 - he's short but another chance of a UK bracelet.

Incred scenes from the Rio.

Chants of "He's the doctor, he's the doctor" ringing out through the Amazon Room.  The Americans tried to match the English rail at one point with a slightly lame "USA USA" but overall they got pwned as much as Flushy pwned the guy HU.

Good job fish. Guess you've got the bracelet now!

See if flushy can do $195k at the Rhino. I have faith...

Flushy's got great support out here - with Jonesy, Moomin, Pab, Evans, Praz, Sunny, James Mitchell, Nutter Rutter and lots of others railing him hard. Most of them can barely stand up at this point!

A bunch of them just got thrown off the final table seated area. It was a misunderstanding they tell me - apparently they were waving goodbye to Eames and the TD thought they were giving the latest man to bust out mad rubz.

Managed to get a good shot of James, and the blonde logo is nicely in view.

Hope it's ok to put the link up - plz remove if not.

More updates when he wins (HU with the chip lead, it looks likely)

Thought you were a mouthy, annoying twat when I first met you but over the years I've got to know you and we've become friends I've realised you're not annoying.

Sorry to hear this pal, best of luck with everything. You've done a great job promoting the cardroom - a shining example to anyone else involved in customer care.

You can look back and be proud of your work.

I know you always loved the cat pictures on the updates, so here's a picture of your replacement for old times sake.

Haven't posted on here recently, but have seen a s**t ton of films so a quick round up from the cat.

Fritt Vilt

Seems like the english-speaking countries have struggled to put out any good horror films in recent times, so the Norwegians have gone and shown us how to do it.

I liked Fritt Vilt, had some good moments and made me jump once or twice - a rarity for a horror film hack like me.

Snow and blood just go together so well!

scared scared scared scared scared scared scared (7) and a half out of 10.

Fritt Vilt 2

After Fritt Vilt 1 was a success, they could have mailed it in but actually made a decent sequel - far fetched obv, but good job anyway.

Antichrist

Oh god. This lay somewhere between artistic genius and pretentious bulls**t. With some gory/ painful bits in.

Pretentious bullshit
......... ..................................................Artistic Genius

Somewhere about there seems right.

There was some beautiful cinematography for sure, but can't really give it top marks for sheer aesthetics due to the prominence of Willem Defoe's bare ass, which has more screentime than his face I think. Some may not notice the difference...

Anyway, I guess it's one to watch and decide for yourself but just a

  (5) out of 10 for me.

The Children

Actually really enjoyed this!

Slow-paced but creepy and more blood on snow which you may have gathered I'm a fan of..

Voted film most likely to have you shout out "Just drop-kick the little f***ers through a window!"

WD guys. Esp wd to Nick.

I didn't think a guy who I witnessed crying at Gray's Anatomy would ever take a decent comp down.

You da man!

Enjoy Vegas, if you want a treat try the black cod miso at Nobu's (hard rock cafe) - most delicious fish I've ever tasted.

I don't know who I wanted to shoot first. Myself or him?

It's a good job you'll only need to use two bullets, you'd prob miss with the third.

I spoke to Darvin Moon a couple of times.

He basically said the deck's been smacking him in the face.

"If I don't hit cards like the way I have been over the past few days, everyone at this table is a better player than I am."

I think he's a pretty humble guy who acknowledges he's been very lucky in the run-in to the final.

My favourite quote comes from Steven Begleiter.

"'I'm dancing between raindrops in the middle of a minefield and somehow I'm still standing."

There are lots more quotes from the finalists herehttp://www.pokerlistings.com/wsop-2009-november-nine-set-for-main-event-glory-42767.

Stick a cap in his A3s.

This is without this info!

Thanks guys. Feels good to get to 25.

Chris is looking pretty decent for a 39 year old too. Well done to the old fella!

I wrote up this story and apparently it's true! (well let's just say that in essence it's true, although details of the story may have been exaggerated somewhere along the line)

It is ridiculous excess obviously and AndrewT is right, the bet-sizing is all off.

I guess in some ways it does represent what Vegas is all about - vulgar excess and showmanship.

I prefer the story of Ivey about how some small stakes player shipped him $10 on Full Tilt as a joke, only for Ivey to ship him $1k back.

I always wondered if this was true, or a clever money-making scheme by Ivey, involving tens of thousands of small stakers all shipping him $10 hoping for the same treatment!

Apparently the same player was seen trying to sneak into the ladies event.

(Shhhh, don't tell him there's no-one else at the table!)
