This promotion seems really good and I wasn't going to try and qualify to this since the wife will be nearly 8months pregnant by the end of the trip but package for 1... might have to give it a shot. I have been looking for information about the party poker plane. Is there any more information on this? The tournaments says that players are no longer being put on it automatically but are there any spaces left if I play and win a package? From London ideally. The price for direct flights are quite high and don't especially fancy a 15.5hour flight with a stop. Thanks for the help and the great promotions!

Paul is it ok if i pass this on to Rachel who is dealing with the CPP for Rob? will be quicker than me ferrying messages back and forth?

let me know the best skype/email/facebook/phone contact for you please (pm if need be)
Thanks. I think I sent you a PM but can't see it in my outbox. I can be contacted on facebook with the name Paul Vas Nunes. Thanks for your time and I think I'll give this a shot either way.

I used to live a blissful life, thinking I was pretty good at table tennis. Then this EPT Barcelona came along and I played with a few Germans and my ego took a huge knock. The spins that were possible and how they come off the bat are ridiculous when you aren't used to handling it. So no matter how much practice you have it really won't make a difference because the ball won't go where you expect off your own bat, let alone theirs,  if they have a table tennis background.

Ah ok interesting. I figured they would care more about driving offences rather than a change in job.

Most of the online comparison sites have "gambler" down as a profession but unsurprisingly "house husband" gave cheaper premiums as already mentioned. After reading my terms and conditions for insurance they only want to know of any changes when renewal is due, including if you get a ticket for speeding (arrived through the door a few days after renewal was complete, phew!). I imagine changing jobs would be the same, so if it's realistic to do, start your renewal with a "safer" job title.

Which terms and conditions? The comparison site or the insurer? I'd be surprised if any of the comparison site specialists were turning down the chance to get a legit premium increase or a less legit Administration Fee.

The insurer, direct line in my case.

All of that sounds like some very good realisations that will help you going forward. If you're looking for someone to play table tennis or tennis with in Malta then that's something I'm up for! I am pretty good at table tennis and might be looking for people to play squash with too but I'm very good at squash compared to non-regular players. All of those activities are free at the Hilton there too.  /brag

Ingeniously my stars name uses the first letter of my first name and then part of my surname! The avatar is of Nadal doing a fistpump because I lost a bet with a player on Murray vs Nadal, with the loser having to use an avatar of the other player.

I imagine it's very rare for players to have much reason behind their username since they probably weren't planning to become a pro or player incredibly regularly.

Really good read! I've never experienced this side of poker or gambling really but reading about it I can feel your ups and downs. I'm not sure I could handle them though!

pierre neuville really is a remarkable guy, at 72 hes changed his online game massively from somewhat of a fish station to a crazy aggro better player in the last 2 years. I can only imagine how many folds he gets. im rooting hard for him, and OG blonde poster WellChief (george macdonald) who i first played online with over 10 years ago!

I played with Pierre in a side event of EPT Barcelona a couple of years ago and I paid him off with a queen on 77Q72 board and he took 40 seconds to turn over the nuts when called. I did a half laugh and said "thanks for the slowroll" and he berated me for being rude and playing badly for the next 20 minutes till the table broke Sad He said he was really old and most players look at him like a grandfather and I should be more respectful and I have since then (no longer mention anything when slowrolled) but it wasn't a fun experience, although seemingly out of character!

Why should you be more respectful when he slowrolled you?

Respect is earned.

I agree with that. I try not to hold grudges though, I just wait until people make the November 9 before I bad mouth them for maximum impact! Everyone else seems to have good things to say about him so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

Do they want another 30k by any chance Smiley
There's a chance. If you PM  me your email I can pass it on to the person who bought it and also someone else who was interested afterwards.
43  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: hypothetical stupid question about late reg on: July 07, 2015, 03:14:35 AM
I think that is what happened in a few of the scoop events this year,   with so few people registered at the start they had to close registration automatically when the first bustout  would be the bubble.
so my question wasn't so stupid and they have now solved the problem, would of thought there were better ways round it though to allow more players to late reg

There were a lot of complaints about it during SCOOP and I think it only affected some of the high events but from what I understand it has been fixed but I don't know how.

Gratz on the score.  If your swap falls through, post again and I'll write what I have regarding bank options/problems/solutions.  In fact I may X-post it on the Vegas thread anyway at some point.  For anyone planning to take a reasonable chunk to Vegas each year, getting bank accounts sorted is very useful, as well as being the most efficient way to avoid vig.

Thanks for the reply and offer but it all went through smoothly today. I am in the process of setting up a bank account here to help in the future but would really appreciate tips on how to avoid VIG at all. My understanding was using fx companies you still lose around 1%? Previously the Rio let you send to a bank account that wasn't in your name but it seems impossible to do that now.

EDIT: Read your post in the Vegas thread and it is useful and pretty much what I am trying to do now! Thanks
