Cheers Alan, My mask is a pretty convincing one ... I have been wearing it for a long time, it even fooled me for a while. Inside I was a wreck, it was the following day that I was going to pick up my stuff. Turny dragged me to the G on Wednesday, but it was nice to see a few friendly faces.
I think everyone can say in all honesty that they do this is some shape or form. It must be a great relief (if a little scary) to be able to bare your soul and take the mask off...

sounds like you are having a ball Tony.
I might still get a taste of LV this year, seeing as I have a free long weekend in the US this weekend and a ton of airmiles to use up...

That place looks amazing, was it as good to actually stay there? yeah..only for 2 nights unfortunately. The place is owned by the same group who own soho house private members club in london and high road house in chiswick. I believe Jude law is one of the partners.

...but wasnt
I am over here in mexico doing a little work. So the guys take me out tonight for some food. They assumed (wrongly) that I would be like th yanks that they entertain and only eat at mcdonalds etc. no, i say, take me for some local food...
So downtown guadalajara we end up in a 'tacqueria'. As Billy Connolly says, Mexican food is essentially all the same, just wrapped differently.....
I ask my colleague to order for me, and what comes back is called the 'burrito cabeza'...I know that cabeza means head...so he explains it to me
there are 5 small tortillas on the plate, It is all part of the cow head which has been cooked. each tortillas contains something different - ears, cheek, tongue, lips and the one in the centre....yep the brains.
As I didnt like to offend my hosts, to their amusement I wolfed down the first four until we get to the last one...the crowning glory so to speak....I quickly douse the brains in the hottest salsa on the table, cover it in onions, wrap it up and eat that as well...
I have to admit that it actually tasted pretty decent. The brain wasnt the best, but the other parts were seriously good....
Any other scary food stories ?

Flight delayed from 11.30to noon, then 12.30, then 1pm. Caesars 7pm comp tonight now unlikely, pfft. Raided the airport book shops, not a decent book to be seen. Still blew 200 quid though. Wasted 40 quid on fags, too. Fried brekkie so so, yogurt and grapes better though. I may be incurably cured of shite food.
Phone is a toddler to master. This post took under 3 hours to input. PS. Toddler not toddler. Predictive text is a hrcbfhdjtv. Djjjnh jgdfg.gdvvcdn Vegas.
shame about the breakfast. I had an airport breakfast on tuesday morning at Glasgow which was also pretty poor. I have also been quietly into my weight loss program, and decided that since I was headed for Mexico where the food is awful (and it is pretty crap on the whole) I would treat myself to a greasy fry up. No sooner had I started wolfing it down when i got a tap on the shoulder in this deserted airport pub. It was my frickin cardiologist saying how disappointed he was to see I wasnt taking the whole lifestyle thing seriously... Actually he was joking, and had a good laugh about it, but I mean, what are the chances of that ??
