Keep the antes, and keep them high in relation to the blinds,

Makes the game
1) looser
2) entertaining
2) skillfull
4) chip plentiful, people like scooping in a big pot no matter what the denomination

People have to adapt to going from no antes to antes so it adds another dynamic to the game.

Rather than think of removing antes from tournaments think of a way of adding them into a cash game.

Not to mention that merging stacks is -£ev.  If players want to take more bullets to run up a stack, it only benefits the rest of the field.

If adding to your stack is a -£ev why do so many people have add ons when available?  I'll be playing cause £50k guarantee for £100 is good value but I'm not so keen on the idea that players can merge stacks.

Hi Guys

If you've won a £110 Token already and are yet to register via the lobby for the MEGA SAT you're playing (whether online or live) then please register to give us an idea how many players are playing live and how many online.

We need to ensure we have enough dealers etc at the club if lots of players are choosing to play live, if we know the split of tokens registered it gives us a good idea how many to expect on Saturday.

Don't forget we've added additional MEGA SATS at the club on Saturday and Sunday for those of you who wish to have an additional shot. £50 Turbo Rebuy with another 10 seats GTD each night - http://www.dusktilldawncasinonottingham.com/whatsgoingon.php

Any questions give me a shout!

Cheers Nicola

Is there any point after depositing money into my account I started to play the free roll and the account was locked for alleged security reasons. Does that mean I've lost my free roll £5?  I should stick to live events because this is too much hassle.

Hi Nicola, I have downloaded the new software and entered my username and password I used for the old software (which worked on the old software) and its says the password and username are incorrect.  I tried creating a new account but it says the email I use already is being used.  There is not button to click saying I've lost my username, what can I do.

Can someone please tell me where I can find the online feeders?  I look under to headings "Multi tourney" and then "specials" "regular" and  "freerolls" and I cannot find anything related to the Monte Carlo. Also a free £5 is mentioned added to each players account, I cannot see this in my account, please can somebody explain how I can use this offer?

12  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Multi Prize Pool Poker comes to DTD in January on: December 27, 2012, 06:57:59 PM
Sounds an interesting concept, it's definately worth trying, it has several benefits:

It entices people from afar to come and play the higher buy in.
It reduces the fluctuations in profit/loss for the higher buy in players. e.g you could finish 1st in the £100 buy in and 8th in the £25 buy in and still come out with a reasonable profit.

If it works the same concept could be used for £100/£250/£500.  I have to say I've been put off travelling to DTD for the £560 buy in believing a 40 minute clock justifies a lower buy in even if it has been my most profitable and favourite casino.

Hope it works, for the sake of poker and DTD who keep pushing the boundaries.

13  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Poll: DTD Payout Structures. Your votes please on: June 13, 2012, 09:23:54 PM
I think it's a little more complicated than the 3 voting options. 10% is the perfect pay out percentage, any higher and it will be too flat (like UKIPT).  1.5 times buy in as a pay out at the bottom end is fine.  Where the slight increase should occur is when you get in the top 5%, rather than only getting the significant jump once on the final table.  The pay out structure should take into account the number of players, with fields over 600 you could introduce a cap on the top prizes, the big downside to this is the lower top prize may not look as appealing.
14  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: NEW: DTD £500 Mega Deepstacks: £500,000 Guaranteed on: June 09, 2012, 06:22:23 PM
I don't understand why they moved from  £336 to £550 during a recession anyway. It got a lot of interest when it was first held but the interest has subsided and people cannot afford the increase.  Surely £336 every month is better than £500 every quarter for many reasons.

1) People keep going back out of habit
2) It is easier to find suitable staff if held on a regular basis
3) It does not finish on Monday at 2.30pm

Make a bigger fuss of the winner, put a picture of everyone who wins the big tournaments, people love the fame and will play purely for that.

Not keen on the final being on Monday at 2.30pm, people can't guarantee they will get time off work.
In the past dusk till dawn have focused on quality tournaments and I feel they are moving away form this focusing more on quantity, how many players they can cram in on one weekend with the highest buy in for the shortest clock.  With so many entrants you get few fortunate players and most walk away with a loss, players could lose interest.  Is it not in the best interest of the casino to have several tournaments with fewer players rather than one big tournament so that their losses are more gradual and their interest is not lost.
