How did said burger compare with the
DTD deluxe variety ?
To be honest, it was not a bad burger. I would say it was roughly on a par with the
DTD burger (the regular, not the deluxe - it seems like a fairer comparison) - both perhaps a 6.5 out of 10, where 1=the hamburgers my old school canteen served, and 10=the Best Hamburger In The World, which I consumed at the Clover Grill in New Orleans, Louisiana, in Autumn 2002.
However, when price is taken into account - around £8 for the
DTD burger, €20=£16.05 (!!!) for my lunch today, $4.95 (£2.51) for the Clover Grillburger, a wide gap in the quality/price ratio becomes evident, making the Monte Carloburger almost exactly half as good as the
DTD burger.
Are we looking at the Monte Carlo burger here? The first year I went the burger cost €20... on it's own!!! Fries were €8 extra. Also, most of the burgers were undercooked and brought many people down with iffy stomachs.
BTW can you say hello and good luck to Peter Roche for me.
Cheers
