What a life! Your photos are stunning, that villa looks incredible and you and Victoria make a gorgeous couple. And, I'm so happy that you liked the restaurant! It's one of the best meals I've had in my travels. Next time, I'm totally tagging along as your third wheel. I don't mind sleeping on a cot. EDIT: Are you in Barcelona now?! I have another recommendation: http://www.sensi.es/ (the one on Carrer Ample). I was in Barcelona last month, and I can safely say that it is the best tapas you'll ever have. You have to book ahead but it is worth it.

Florence is a magical place. Be sure to check out Michelangelo's statue of David in the Accademia Gallery, completed in 1504 it literally knocked my socks off. Also best place in the world to buy tan leather shoes.
Absolutely do this! As a writer, I was blown away. It is stunning, and very inspiring. Also, here for dinner: http://www.ilsantobevitore.com/home.htm; it's not directly in the centre, but the food is amazing and the atmosphere is very romantic.

Got a phone call from my dad just now, pretty shit news. He's being moved to another company but still working in the same place from October 1st, obviously he's worried that it's going to go shit and he doesn't like change, he's also 64 and has serious lung problems so can't do any labouring like most would for a company that specializes in petitioning.
If it goes terribly and he ends up not having a job from October 1st most likely he'll end up retiring and I'll have to take over on probably double/triple bills I'm currently paying, if this happens not sure what I'm gonna do poker wise but it'll likely mean an early retirement and use the roll for more important things.
Wow, very sorry to hear this. My dad was forced into retirement while I was in university. I thought it meant I'd have to drop out and help pay the bills but it just meant working a bit harder. I still helped with the bills by taking on two jobs and I managed to stay in school. Hopefully, your dad will also get a severance package for retiring due to medical reasons. If not, you can always try to balance poker and a part-time position. I wouldn't think about retiring just yet, and I'm sending well wishes for your pa's health. x

Abroad? Possibly. I've always wanted to live abroad. There's so many cities I've been in and thought: I could live here one day. Barcelona, Tallinn, Prague, Vegas, Monte Carlo probably top 5. I think if I stay here I need the regular poker trips abroad, and I need the monthly visits to see Victoria of course. We'll see how it goes. My mood is so interchangeable at the moment. I lost a bit on thursday and was down in the dumps thinking about the future etc. Then a big night on friday night and was back loving it again. Feels like I should win a huge tournament soon. That would help things I just visited Barcelona. I definitely had that feeling, that I could live here one day. It just has everything you could want in a city: amazing food, great weather, lovely people, plenty of things to do. On the plane ride home, I was trying to figure out how I could make it possible for me to spend a month abroad in Barcelona.

The games in London are still really lively, majority of the pros are in Vegas, if you guys get time try and come down, the vik has a really lively 1-2 Omaha game that you'd enjoy and probably crush and for NLH you have some great 1-2 games at the Empire, Hippo, Mint and Aspers (usually 1-1) now that Niks a pro too, you guys should split the cost and get down..
Dayum, I've been putting this out there for months. I'd love to spend time in London while Sean checks out the poker scene. Unfortunately, significant others tend to cramp one's style.

Yeh that's Holly!
Yeh it is a pretty posh picture. I feel so un-posh living my criminal gambling life in gangster nottingham, so whenever I go back home - I gotta overload on croquet and Brahms.
keepin it real boyz
Haha living a double life, almost! If that were the premise for a movie, I'd totally watch it. Maybe not pay for it in theatres, but at least stream it on Netflix.

This whole thing is kinda tiresome. OH MY GOD YOU HAVEN'T HEARD THIS SONG OH MY GOD YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS FILM OH MY GOD YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THIS TV SHOW Firstly, it's pretty old news that I never watched TV as a child. So everybodies continued surprise when it comes out that I haven't seen x is a bit zzzz. Secondly, all the comments like "omg what sort of childhood did you have" are also pretty zzz. Everybody does roughly what they want to do in life don't they? TV was never a part of my life except for watching sport, so I was never exposed to all those things - I did other things instead. And thus don't feel like I missed out on anything because I did the things that made me happy instead. I appreciate that it's weird for everybody else, but I don't feel like I had a deprived childhood or anything lol, quite the opposite. I really don't feel any worse off. As for now, TV is on the in the house a lot (mainly Indian Cricket though ) and I'm still pretty over it. There's almost nothing I watch regularly. In fact, there is nothing. I wouldn't miss the TV if it were gone. Any good TV show I just buy the boxsets of and watch at my leisure. I go to the cinema a lot and enjoy that. I could reel off loads of things that I do / have done that almost nobody else does / will have done. But I'm not going to as obviously they are sad things to do and nobody feels any worse off for having not done them either. Just caught up, Superb rant. I really hope you were genuinely angry when you typed this, and not just pretending to be. Good luck at Wemberly today. I also missed this rant. Good luck to you and your crew in the ISPT!
