1  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Live Poker : Decison Time & Time Bank on: June 08, 2013, 01:46:48 PM
Hi
I don't come on here a lot but I play at DTD regularly and it's the best poker venue in the country and I'm very glad it's so close to me.

I have to say this is a terrible idea though! There's a number of reasons, firstly a lot of newer players will be discouraged by this pressure and they will not want to play. Some players always like to think things through which is fine, it's live poker!!! 15 seconds will just never be enough time... I mean you're going to take some of the fun out of live poker here, the social aspect, the speech play, there's no time for any of that in 15 seconds... Some live players play for this part of the game.

I agree that there are some players that wind me up by taking an age to call, but don't punish the masses please... Some folk with headphones on and 'deep' thinkers... Very annoying but just have a yellow/red card penalty system or something, if the dealers have the power to call a hand dead after a few seconds then they can decide when someone is persistently taking too long!

That's my say Smiley

Hi all

Playing the online day 1 for the first time tonight! Should be interesting to see how it plays compared to Live. Busy Friday and Sat otherwise I'd play live of course.

Good luck all those playing!

Just before the break (moral of the story, don't go to the carpark where you can hear stories)

Richard Massey opens to 1200

Robert Moss peels

Chris Rhodes 3800

Both call

Massey 5,000

Moss shoves 18,000

Rhodesey reshoves covering both

Massey folds

Rhodesy

Moss  three clubs

turn

river   Two Clubs

Moss more than doubles up

Fuck my whole life that was a 65k pok
I passed 10,10 in that hand after betting out... That was the 2nd to final nail in my coffin Sad

Hi
I don't post too often but great stuff Rob and Simon bringing back the 300!!! It's pitched just the right level for a lot more of us to come and play this fab deep stack event!

Great work from all the dealers, overrun valets and tighty of course Smiley.

I agree with most of these posts earlier start on the Saturday and if need be Sunday

Catch you all soon!

That was a horrible spoto be in, the table with 5 monster stacks to my left!

My short stack was lost like a polar bear in the snow!

Time to bash up the 150! Smiley

Good work to DTD for keeping the customer happy with free drink during the tourney and free food too! Smiley They know how to look after customers when there's something gone wrong! Take note all other card rooms!

Well... Annoying that the tourney is delayed!

But... No rake cash seems to be paying off! Smiley

Hey all... Richard Massey here, AKA 'Chandler' of of friends so Tighty seems to think Smiley ha ha ha... Cheers for that one! In the last 3 weeks i've been likened to Jason Seigel, Brendon Fraser and now Matthew Perry... I'll take all as compliments! Grin

First ever post but quality updates on here and the most entertaining lookalikes!

Loads of good play going on day 1 and have to say enjoyed Mickey Wernick's 'I'm not playing this cos this happened 15 years ago' stories... didn't enjoy so much him on my left with a massive stack with mr Neville the seat to next seat on from his left!

Battled on... see ya Sunday folks!
