I generally don't fold on winamax because they're all so French but think this might be a spot to fold, he's given you every chance to find the fold anyway. I mean, what's he really bluffing with in reality? He could be frogging about some of the time but think its rare and would fold here a lot of the time, people don't over bet bluff enough in general tbh and is almost always weighted towards value hands.

Hello Sean, I'm a long time reader who hasn't posted in a while and finally worked up the courage to post. Did you play any interesting hands with a housemate of mine recently and if so I'd love to hear about them.

Please don't ignore this, I'm out on a limb here because I'm generally quite shy so would live a response Smiley

Thanks, Paul.

I think the reason you get a lot of joke replies on these threads is because it just seems like a massive level. It just doesn't seem believable that people can think like this. If people are actually on this level then the reason they get joke replys is probably because its good for the online grinder to have people playing on their site thinking like this and educating them can only be bad or them in the long term.

Good luck today, Alex, was good to chat, albeit briefly, yesterday.

I must say, you seemed to have filled out a little, put a little weight on on the right places, & you look better for it. Eating more, home cooking, or perhaps another lady in your life?

It's been my new years resolution for I think 3 years on the trot now, but a few weeks ago I finally signed up to a gym and have been going most days since.

I'd be surprised if there were any noticeable results after such a short time period but I certainly feel a lot better and it's very good for me to keep that up. Thanks for saying so though. See you later.
Don't be so modest Al. You're looking really hench mate

Go for the lot imo. He isn't folding a 10 and a live player is going to find it very difficult to fold anything that remotely resembles a value hand so be greedy.

There's venting and them there's just whining. You're playing live cash where you get through a bowl amount of hands and downswings seem like they go on forever. You seem to think that you're the only human that runs bad, stop comparing yourself to others that might run slightly above ev and do whatever you can do improve. You seem to be sitting around waiting to cooler people from the sounds of it. Go back to basics, value bet hard and just shrug off the dirty ones and it'll come. Going into a session thinking you're going to lose is detrimental to your game.

Time to put your big boy pants on and do a bit of winning.

When faced woth big decisions, How much do you apply to studying/ discussing poker theory? Bad equilibrium, implied/reverse implied odds, bubble factors that are discussed in many books/ on forums/ training sites?

Or for example do you tend to stick to the pot odds, and reads only like many other live players?

I don't really have much of a analytical mathematic approach to my live game other than the basics, my live success is mainly due to my live reads and my feel for the general game Flow and dynamics of all the different situations you come across when playing live poker.
Hope this answers your question. If I'm honest I didn't really understand a lot of the words you said. ;-)
Good answer Simon Smiley

Peejay is out

"I did a bluff and it did not work"

Peejay flats a raise with 9-9, and the big blind calls too

Q-4-2

check by the original raiser Raggy Clarke, bet by Peejay, call by Clarke

A

check, bet by Peejay, call

7 (completing a flush draw)

check, jam by Peejay, call with A-2 Raggy
It wasn't raggy. Wouldn't ever bluff raggy!

sigh, you said it was raggy!

Raggy was original raiser who chk folded. Villain was big blind
