I have..... Everyone limps for $10 (almost everyone always limps) & when it gets to me I make it $60 to play. I've not been particularly active, but generally raise my Button. SB calls, BB calls, (these are the other 2 big stacks, $1,600 & $3,500). Everyone else folds. So far, so good. Flop is..... So I've flopped the abso nuts, plus the J-10 2 pair, but I don't have spades or backdoor clubs. I do have extensions with the 2 pair J-10 but they could very easily be "dead" extensions. It goes check, check, & I make it $200. Think I have to bet here. I'm a little surprised when the SB now check raises me, as he's very nitty. He made it (approx) $1,000. Pretty sure I know his hand, & whilst I'm digesting this news, the BB (VERY aggro & playing $3,500) now re-pots it. Ooh-er mother. It's all-in for me to call, &, in my case, the main pot will be around $4,500 ignoring the side pot. You'll be astonished to know that there was a very strong (though perfectly civil) difference of view on the hand, with 3 saying it was a no-brainer call & 2 saying it was a trivial straightforward fold. In my spot, what is the correct play here, & why? Why do you have to bet? If you are gonna fold to a check raise, is it not better to check behind and hope for a safe turn card and then re evaluate?

Just imo but I think 8/11 v either is madness. Hawkins had a really poor season until the recent final, he may be "tough as teak" but the others are a class above. Robbo similarly poor recently but showing the same signs of his game coming together. I'll come out of punting retirement if Bingham is 11/8, huge price.
in no sense whatsoever are Robertson or Bingham a class above Hawkins just look at the rankings Give up with the rankings Rich, what was Ronnie ranked at the start of the year?

and wins
Selby won earlier and plays Lisowski/Wilson Hawkins plays Robertson/Bingham
Sheesh, we are doing this one the hard way. A win is a win though, so we are still in with a decent shot. Guess we'd marginally prefer Bingham next? You think Hawkins will be fav against Bingham/Robbo? Surely not. Obv I'm not an odds compiler/loltrader. he'll be 4/5 possibly 8/11 or so against either. Robertson's form has picked up a lot this calendar year compared to last whereas Bingham is just back off his betting suspension so yes i would take Bingham if given a choice Hawkins is a teak tough match player which we have seen in the last 48 hours, if he were to make the final would though be underdog v Selby and favourite against Wilson/Lisowski

Is TfT still open for business? I think Rose to win his two ball with Tiger this evening is as good as it gets. Clear signs from Tiger that some of the problems that afflicted recent comebacks haven't gone. Once he starts fearing the big miss left, it can go wrong quickly and although he's excellent here when he's good, it does set up well to punish his more likely errors. He got lucky yesterday, it's not likely he will again with the same misses. Rose is the perfect opponent in my eyes. We have 13/10 available at Hills, looks a max to me, I'm not sure how much that is these days.
Good luck everyone having a bet today.
My my, what a lovely bet that was, thank you. Ditto to Tighty, too, for pulling the £200 trigger. As it turned out, there was barely a sweat. Most enjoyable. Well done kukushkin - Rose unfortunately has spectacularly westwooded me a few times, so couldn't bet him.... A few wags commented that Westwood wouldn't have got the Jackpot on Day 4.
