No, these weren't scripted for Padraig - but I think that sometimes the fables are edited in such a way that you may not get the best feel for exactly what happened in the hand itself, and Padraig is commenting onthe hand, not the fable.

Did you like the fables themselves ?

Liebert doesnt come off well in these against Ram - she doesnt look too clever in 'curiosity killed the cat' either.

You have to check out the 888 poker fables linked to on the blondepoker homepage

Poker fables

They are absolutely genius. Sometimes you need a couple of watches to 'get it' as they are so clever. My current favourites are 'the porcupine and the skunk feat the devilfish' and 'little red rory with rory liffey'.

They're written by Jesse May and Rob Gardner so you know they are gold.

 Whats your favorite ?

Have you checked out Padraig Parkinsons twice weekly blog at 888.com/wsop ?

There are some classic lines - 'I was hanging about outside the impressive Full Tilt hospitality suite when a bell boy emerged pushing an empty trolley. My companion was impressed that Full Tilt even had their own bell boy. I told him he was needed to wheel the egos in and out.'

I think the key to a succesful Bot will be its ability to gather information on other players and use it to its advantage.

For example, if a Bot wants to beat the 15/30 game on party, it can 'watch' every table for a month, gathering a huge amount of information on the regular players and their habits, betting patterns, indicators that they are on tilt etc etc. Once it has this info, a lot more of the hidden pieces are now in full view of the bot. It will just take some programmers with a keen eye for the most significant information to design something that can use this information to be a winning player.
