We bought the "Whoops", or out of date items for many years out of necessity, we still buy some because there is nothing wrong with them and we hate waste
Remember those less fortunate than yourself
Sorry, Red dog. I too, buy the 'Whoops' items, hence being in Asda at the crucial 'Whoops' time (early evening). I would have picked a prank on anyone that day Sorry again mate

My main hate was shopping in supermarkets, mainly because the missus takes 3 hours to buy nothing. I say was because now my wife has banned me for being naughty…’Result’.
One hot summers day I was dragged like a little schoolboy to my local Asda, it turned into the funniest day ever at the shops. I felt I was being stalked by, well, every bugger and their trolleys. I thought “sod this for a game of soldiers” and started nicking half-full trolleys, casually abandoning them at various parts of the store. I soon got bored with that, but it was payback for the years of trolley rage.
I then stalked the Whoops (Asda reduced items) shelves watching the baying bargain hunters scrapping over the reduced/out of date crap and like a man possessed pounced on their abandoned trolley replacing the whoops items with full priced items.
Next, those pain in the ass mothers/fathers and toddlers. Would have been pushing it to steal the kids so decided to put KY jelly, condoms and a wee hi glucose sweetie for the brat in the trolley. Wonder if she paid for them.
And last, but not least, the Customer Services desk, feckin hate them. Whilst kidnapping trolleys, stalking cheapskates and planting goodies, I called the Customers Service desk 3 or 4 times and using various accents I asked them to let Ivan know that the night out was cancelled. “Nobody called Ivan works here” I was told. I arrived to the front of the Service‘s queue (why does only one person deal with enquiries but another two piss about moving things from one chair to another) and announced that I was Ivan and had they taken any messages for me. The look on their faces was priceless and fair play they took it well.
Wife wasn’t to amused though and banned me…. as I said RESULT.

Thanks for the welcome, Tikay.
Richard, I'm sure, will be missed greatly. Off to cover Man City v Liverpool (work purposes, not pleasure) and am fearful of what will happen during the minute's silence. Especially considering the teams involved.
I don't pass judgement on Best's life, like many others I didn't know him. But it would nice to be able accept the sadness at how his life ended, whether or not people remain irked at the way he abused his second chance.
Celtic decided at the the start of this season that, because of verbal abuse by a few mindless morons during the observation of a minute silence, they would have a minute of applause instead.

This is the 2nd poker forum I have posted on today about george best. I am quite sick of reading how great a man he was when in effect he was a wife beating alcoholic. I lost my father a few years ago to an illness that what not of his own making and he never raised a hand to my mother at any time, not a day passes that I don't think of him. I know you really shouldn't speak ill of the dead but this man ruined his own life and that of others (can you imagine being married to him)- when he was given a 2nd chance at life with a liver transplant he drank that away as well. Sorry to go against all you nostalgia fans but I do not look up to any man who doesn't cherish life or hits women.
Total agree with you ariston, straight from the heart and totally honest. Although having seen Best play a few times live, I'm afraid my memories of such a talented and gifted player, is that of a women beater. I'm sorry, I really don't mean to upset Best's family, friends or fans, but I suspect that when the mourning period is over, the same Media circus that have been camped by his bedside, will crucify his memory.

When I started playing online poker, other players would tell me I was sh*te because, not having a clue, I would river miracle str8's, flushes, lo trips, split pots, ect ect.... so I decided to rename myself.
Ps. My play has improved, but I'm still sheight.
