What do stars think?

That was going to be my question to.  As the games are on their software, they might consider it a good thing, but as they're running their own satellites in a format that suits their business model - they might not be too happy.

Also, what have Genting said about this?  Surely they want satellites for the GPS to be run on their skin, rather than on PokerStars?

The games are private games, we can allocate the money to whatever we like.

Currently talking about setting up a live format, as the format can bring in more buy ins.

OK, but are you allowed to advertise them as such?

The same way DTD ran tournaments with a 'Vegas Package', but they couldn't advertise it as a WSOP ME satellite, and they couldn't force anyone to use their prize-winnings to buy into the event either.

Just being devil's advocate.

Maybe not, but they haven't mentioned anything atm, and if so changes can be made. Also in talks with a very big company in the poker world atm, but can announce yet.

And what's in it for you?

10% of PP, as disclosed in the T&Cs.

Also, Paypal do not allow gambling transactions, unless they have changed their T's & C's recently.  At best you are in a grey area there.

The PayPal account is set up specifically for gambling transactions. Smiley

Hi Guys,

ProSatPoker my idea yes, as a regular blonde I didnt want to annoy Tighty by plastering the forum with adverts.

The website is being updated hour by hour, but I am having some DNS, and hosting issues which are slowly being resolved.

The idea came about last year, I did a smaller test league with some regs at my local, who really enjoyed it, and managed to play some DTD events for a fraction of the cost. I really thought this could work on the big scale, so wanted to pursue it.

The reasoning for using the homegames on pokerstars is because it is the only way I could have the format live, without players playing rake to the software and league, I pursued iPoker etc but the costs and hassle was ridiculous.

PayPal allows a secure transaction, and also means there is a trace and a contract for the passing of money, if anything goes wrong everything can be accounted for and easily traced, along with the TCs RE: refunds etc

Untill it is established I cannot be endorsed or backed by the big guys.

I wanted to do it privately, as I feel as a player myself I can cater, adapt and provide services others cant. And also I really do want to give people a better way to satellite to some sick events

I hope you all find it interesting, and like I say any issues or criticisms let me know, I will take it all on board Smiley

while we are waiting for final - anyone have any suggestions on how we avoid late finishes like this in future, options are;

1. cap runners at the GTE ie. 500 max for £150K, turn people away above the 500
2. 12pm starts day 1 and day 2
3. take out 4-5 levels
4. reduce 40 min clock to 35 mins
5. reduce chips to 20k

etc etc

Cheers Rob

Simplest tweak is keep Day 1a as is, but move Day 1b and Day 2 to 12 o'clock start.

Obviously logistical issues for the club, but that helps the players.

Yeah I would just say start day 2 at 12pm, and eliminate one level. Job done

Returning CPP hero gets measured for the DTD Hall of Fame

He won the Main event and finished second in a side event

"It was the toughest final table I have ever played. I had JP to my right and Rob to my left. The two Romanian fellas were tough too. In my small blind every time I raised, Rob re-rasied. Every time I three bet JP, he four bet. Really tough, and it felt great to beat them"

I asked him about rumours that he had made a killing on the table games too

"Nah, thats just rumours. The roulette had double zero. I am not stupid. Won a bit playing blackjack but basically once the main event hit the second day I concentrated hard. I knew I was going to go deep because of the hands I was folding such as sets on dangerous flushing boards."

and with that, he went off for a smoke, trailed by a band of acolytes

Wadey is a legend! His enthusiasm and passion for the game is invigorating. Tops to this man

Is it a case of running too much in one weekend? Also there is a pretty huge weekend on stars and fcoop running on stars.fr which might have effected numbers? Plus Blackpool/Bristol next week. I've been unable to donate this month due to work/family commitments. :/

I think it's also the new satellite structure, not getting anywhere near the sat qualifiers into the Events. And like you say George too much in one weekend
