Hand1:
I feel like our sizing on the flop is a bit much, 46 into 54 playing 132 seems a tad large, but we're doing nothing more than getting it in as played.

Hand 2
I feel like again our C-Bets are pretty big here. 55 into 65 playing deep? I feel like you can tone your sizing down a lot for pot control.
Our second C-Bet is then entirely contradictory of our sizing's in both of the hands. We've C-Bet 85% on the flop and are now going for a 40-45% lead on the turn?
I feel like if the BB is competent they' be reading this as weakness and should be jamming a lot of their range to put you in these pressured situations.
The reverse of this is if we perceive the BB to be competent and are therefore choosing this bet sizing to induce...however... this board connects with a lot of his suited rundowns  / medium pocket pairs and as Matt has stated I feel like checking for pot control may actually be the better option.

As played I don't see why the BB couldn't have AA,KK in their range here. After you've 3 bet the button, cold 4'ing out of the blinds looks really strong. A competent player would certainly be aware of this and balance their range by calling your 3 bet with their top 5%.

1-3 at the Vic. Stack sizes 2k (Hero) vs ~700 (Villain)

Villain raises to 16 pre from MP and is called in the HJ.
Hero has  on the button and completes.

Board

Villain leads for 40 into 51, HJ folds

Background, recently applied pressure from late positions frequently and have been involved in a fair few pots, however, have always had strong showdown holdings.
Hero's thoughts... vs the villains one pair gut shot combos is that he's likely peeling one and folding to a brick turn frequently enough to make a raise on the flop profitable enough.
If facing a jam we're assigning all combos of AA, QQ, 1010, Two pair combos, AX broadway combos, KJ, some percentage of absolute air.

WWYD?

5  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: 5 Card Badugi/Padooki - Theory Question on: September 05, 2015, 01:21:11 AM
I think it just comes very game dependant at the time. If you feel you can bluff 'x' opponent by changing one and representing a made Padooki already (based on 'x' amount of card changes by opponent etc... and our position at the time) I think it's a good advantage. Previously I chose to change a deuce as well only if the opponent showed a lot of strength and I was relatively sure he had a strong range.

I'm not sure what the generic play is meant to be though or whether this game should always have a liquid strategy. Great game though haha.

Apologies can't change the OP now. It is was Padooki rules.
7  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / 5 Card Badugi/Padooki - Theory Question on: September 04, 2015, 09:20:57 PM
So I've found myself in some very similar spots in 5 card Padooki on the final change lately.
Now obviously there are going to be a lot of dynamics into the decision for the below, however, I'm intrigued to see what people's general approach is...

Say the hero on the final change now has...

  two hearts two spades X

We now have two distinctive routes. Pick a suit and change two cards or change one and have one shot at both a heart and spade. As stated previously this is going to be heavily dependent on our position, previous streets and how many cards our opponents are changing but I'm intrigued at everyone's general line in this.

Seems absolutely fine as played. Tell the dealer you'll tip him for J-A c's d's and sweat the river.
What would you do if UTG was all in and the players asked to run it twice?

London is finally living up to my expectations. The games this week have been absolutely incred. I've played some of the best games of my life this week.

I rarely post hands here these days but I've had some real thrills this week so I'll share the best ones.

£2/2 Triple Flop Omaha

My hand:     Two Diamonds

 Board 1:
 Board 2:
 Board 3:

...There was a guy who repotted pre who only ever does that with AAxxxx even when he shouldn't, so he obviously had the middle board, which i have up to 21 outs to win. The other guy had probably turned a house on board 1, so i have just two outs there. And on the bottom board I'm pretty thin but likely win with a Jack or spade so have about 20% there.

Why are we never assuming Steven (AAxxxx) has nut spades?
I can't say i knew what your hand was at the time as things got a little cray, but it seems really really thin, especially considering Rob's (Seat1's) shove was actually 1.6k - 1k more after your C-Bet. I'd say Rob's range here was always nutted on at least two boards so he's more likely to have 9/7/5 and Steven is always futilely hoping AAxx will improve.
On the middle board we also have ~16 outs with only 4 nut outs. If we assume one of the villains may also have turned the bottom straight we're calling for a chop at best if we're dominated.

Obviously all of this is in hindsight but I probably wouldn't make a habit of putting yourself in those spots.

Spot on from Stu as normal. Considering we're not folding, to more likely get stacks in 30-40% seems fine. This will either mean we get the rest in on the turn to a b/c, b/c or are opponent jams with Kxxx. I don't see any point in potting and folding out weaker holdings. If he's got KKxx then shrug it off.
13  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: Sunday Million AQ in BB on: December 02, 2014, 11:35:52 PM
3 betting pre flop at these blind sizes from a button opener, we're deep stacked and it means we can determine our opponents range somewhat, also snap folding if we get 4 bet.

As played I'm just flat calling the river and expecting to chop the vast majority of the time. Potentially check/raising the turn too.
14  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: Interesting hand from GPS Edinburgh on: November 04, 2014, 01:41:33 PM
I really don't think anybody who is thinking is going to think a river raise is anything but the nuts here. I would say even if Camel was an unknown 90% of blondes would fold a KdXd flush here. It just depends on the experience level of the players on your table. To be fair so multiway so early on in a GPS there is a good chance of being called like how Arbboy said.

So somebody who's thinking wouldn't ever consider you had the ability to bluff an AdX hand in this spot after the line you've taken? You're working under the assumption that the player is always capable of folding KdXd. Unless you have some strong reasoning for not trying to get maximum value I don't see how you can't jam the river.
15  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: Interesting hand from GPS Edinburgh on: November 03, 2014, 06:56:43 PM
I think the line you've taken you should be more inclined to Jam the river. If the villain would anticipate you'd bet any AdXd hand in position on the flop it gives larger credit to jamming an AdX hand as a bluff on the river, therefore, he's way more probable to level himself into a call than you are of getting an overcall.
