I’d brought myself to voting for Labour in the next GE, but this is too much. Labour going to get ruined.

Corbyn would be mad to go for an election, but he's being backed into a corner.

Probably needs to make his mind up before PM questions at midday.

But won't it look even worse on him if he chooses to turn down that opportunity again? I think if they turn it down again, they'll lose even more voters. I personally have come round to supporting Labour again in the last few weeks, BUT last few days I've been frustrated by them. If my MP chooses to vote against, then it's the last straw.

The frustrating thing is that now we see Labour MP's coming out for a GE, but now there's a shift in the party for a second referendum, which is miles away? Why not try and get that second referendum through a GE?

Whilst in the background is SNP is trying to make amendments to an election bill.

Should 16yo's be allowed to vote?

We’ve got to go to an election now.

Wrote to my MP (pointlessly) to suggest this or lose my vote.

This is absolutely not pointless, well done you for doing so.

That's what they're there for, to implement what the electorate want whether that be remain. leave, election, no election or literally anything else you can think of.

They must love it that so many people think it's pointless and therefore don't bother, it saves them having to do their job.

I wrote to my local councillor recently on a much less serious issue than brexit, there were some plans to change some local roads and it was ridiculous. I got a response and I presume partly because of lots of people writing to them they changed their minds.

That was the first time I'd ever written to them as I always thought it was pointless but it made me feel good that they did something about it even though it wasn't solely because of me of course.

I then had another even less serious issue where I was trying to get a new dustbin (the dustbin men decided mine needed to go in the wagon with my rubbish) but it proved impossible with the councils website and phone system. Honestly they're shocking and seem to have been designed with the sole purpose of making people give up.

Anyway because I'd previously had a response I thought 'sod it' and went to the local councillor. I even apologised in my email for wasting his time with such a petty matter but he stressed that it wasn't petty and that if things like this don't get escalated what can they do about it.

It's obviously highly unlikely that you'll get a personal response from your MP on this matter because they'll have hundreds or hopefully thousands of letters of a similar nature to deal with at the moment. Your letter will be read though and if enough people are writing to them saying the same thing then it will get their attention.

It feels pointless, they aren't going to start voting for an election because I sent an email! I expect a generic reply regardless.

Beat lowly Stoke tonight. Very surprised at their lack of away support. Would have thought they’d bring 1k min

Some more wtf in the house today

Vote for second reading, then block then block programme timescale. Then block a GE.

Labour block another GE & they really are toast. These riots are coming.

I don’t see how the Tories win a majority or ‘romp’ it.

They are going to be facing voters who are split between them and Brexit Party.

They are predicted to lose all Scottish seats.

Lib Dem’s are on an upsurge, kinda, not so much right now with Jo.

Labour expected to be crushed, but I’m pretty sure historically they tend to win by larger majorities.

I’m happy for a GE, but I think there’s a high possibility of it not solving anything.

I's crazy to think about the current situation and what certain parties plan to do. Listening to certain programmes where politicians forever changing their mind.

The amount of times that Ian Blackford has stood up in the commons and said it's time for a people's vote, must be a dozen or more. Last night, Joanna Cherry, also of SNP, said they wouldn't support the people's vote amendment.

The DUP are considering voting for PV amendment and customs union amend. That bung went well.

Nick Boles tweets he will support deal, but would withdraw support if bullying by No.10 continues. Why not vote the deal for its merits, not about your friends.

Lisa Nandy on BBC saying she would support a confirmatory ref, but with no remain option. We all know if it's deal v no deal, deal would win easily, essnetially pointless.

I agree with what Richard says, the prime minister and/or parliament need to come out and give a plan to get out, not keep on with a delay that won't achieve anything. There realy needs to be PV, GE, customs union deal or Jeremy pushing a no confidence motion.

Just watched some of news.

Comment made that Bercow may not even allow a vote tomorrow.

He has already pushed impartiality to its limits.

If this were the case and the Speaker denies the vote, he will have become overtly political.

Given it appears Johnson has the numbers, the attempts by any means to stop him are becoming more and more extreme. Total joke.

I don’t think is about being impartial, I’d say it was more due to parliamentary procedure. I wouldn’t be confident of the numbers either, going to be super close, but there was a switcher from the deal to going against today

He may use his interpretation of Parliamentary procedure to suit his strong remain views.

Not really on is it?

I don’t know what to think of it really. You can understand it, but also ask how on earth can we go foward?

I don't think I have seen any. It's the big downside of the referendum question, how can the question be fairly set, particularly without splitting the leave vote.

Perhaps the best solution might be leave with this deal versus leave with No Deal, and no remain option.

One option was a question of leave or stay with a secondary question for leave voters of no deal or BJ deal.

That seemed to cover most bases (we don’t need another though).

This seems like the best option. I did see someone suggest that perhaps it could be held over many days with many options.
