Don't think reading or everton are good value tbh, prices are big for valid reason imo!! Everton can't score for s**t

I'm sure Everton have been doing well pretty recently, not a bad side at home, deffo think it's value at 2/1 against a declining Spurs side. Not forgetting Saha, who will be unable to play.

As for Reading, why not? Reading are bang on form and at home to a team who are well behind them in the league? 3rd v 10th (not sure on position) at 21/20, think that's pretty good!
3558  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Imagine this situation: on: March 09, 2012, 11:48:16 PM
You are in a tournament and you are at a critical stage of the tournament too and this happens:

Your hand is

Mid position has raised and you are in the small blind. The raise is 3xBB, but obviously you have a decent enough hand and are also in SB too.

FLOP:

Action:

You check to him and he bets out 3/4 of the pot, you re-raise him 3x his bet and he puts you all in.

You have such a draw in this hand, what would you do if you was:

A) On Bubble
B) On the final table and you was both the top two chip stacks
C) Your opponent was a nuts/tight player
D) Your opponent is loose, but solid

I had this discussion with a few people and it has been split one said the fact is you are still chasing and still a possibility of drawing dead on the turn. And other one said there is possibly 20 cards to hit, etc.

Thoughts?

I always look at the action at the weekend to see who has some decent prices on them and if I fancy them to win or not.

Everton (2/1) v Spurs - Spurs on a bad run and Everton are a good team, 2-1 is value.
Brighton (4/5) v Pompey - Brighton on up, Pomey in crisis, can only see this going one way.
Reading (6/5) v Leicester - Potential slip up here with how unpredictable Leicester are, but reading are on fire at the moment. Decent price.
Sheff Wed (10/11) v Bournemouth - Wednesday (my team) are very good at home an dnew manager effect, I will not be betting on Wednesday, but 3rd at home to 11th at 10/11? Yes please.

3560  Poker Forums / The Rail / The "I don't like playing online" thread. on: March 09, 2012, 11:23:11 PM
I know there are lots of us that like a bit of both and some of us that are either genuine live players, or just play online.

But I can honestly say I have given up on online poker completely.

I'm not going to go into the whole discussion about whether or not it's rigged or not. But like said I have totally given up, but it's so annoying that you see tournaments like the $6m one on Stars on Sunday, etc. But I just refuse to play them, because I just can't win and my live game is totally the same as my online game, but a profit of £9k live, is shown up by a loss of £4k on just one site and so on.

It's most definitely hard to avoid putting your details on and have £100 on so and so, but I have definitely given up on it for the time being. It's not to mention heard loads of stories about players and their Visa bills, although I can confirm I only use my debit card.

So what's everyone elses view and so on to online and whether you play it or not?

This is so bloody sad and what an awful week it must have been for those families, my thoughts go out to you.

I saw a tribute to them on Look North earlier, was really fitting. It was really sad to have seen it, but what moved me a little more was one of the fallen 6's friends had posted on that lad's wall "hope it's not you" after hearing about the deaths. So sad.

RIP.

When people who wash their hands in toilets, then don't dry them, leaving all their wetness on the toilet door handles.

It is getting me really mad at the moment!

Your investment in Pete is a good one despite what Aaron Alex Pleno might say.

Then you don't know much then!

Anyone who knows me knows that I only play in Sheffield??? Then you say you sold out for Dtd before. Anyone who has ever met you thinks you are a cockend fool and this includes your only mate ken top ten

LOL.

Like I said on Pete's status, I only play DTD now and again as I have a general rule of not playing poker at the weekends. I had sold out on previous events, then decided against.

Not sure why there is some sort of issue though Jason, I have my opinion and you have yours, but I know for a genuine fact, Peter is not a good enough player to warrant .3, it's just a way to get some extra money. If he is a .3, player, then perhaps I should be selling at .2? hey who knows.
3566  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Staking deals and markup. Discussion? on: March 07, 2012, 01:41:13 PM
I have only had a browse of this and can't read all of this due to the fact I got loads of things to be getting on with.

As one or two have you may noticed I got into an arguement with someone over Facebook about their markup for the 770 coming up and I still think I am right. When a person who is marking up at 1:1.3 is aking for stake and perhaps you have no interest in the stake, should you be commenting? For me, the .3 is nowhere near his value and for me to be quite honest, I think .1 is his face value.

I am not a massive staker and only have bits and bobs now and again, but I should be entitled to opinion, yes?

Another question is about when you should be able to tell a person to piss off?

I did a thread another forum asking or stake at the last minute for the £560 at the weekend and was only gonig to sell 25%. I didn't get any offers and played it off my own back, was fine by me. But after I realised why there was nobody interested and that was because many memebers of that forum was away playing the LTVC challenge. A day or so after I mention how I get donked out and you get someone saying I should have done this and that and so on. I say OK enough, blah blah blah. Anyway later mention if there was any interest in the UKIPT next month, same person asks for results, I post some and he says no. Later in another stake thread, he does the same, then later still without any results of that person says I will take 2%, contradiction much??

http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=222646  this is why you never got staked at 1:1

http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=105932 This is why Pete sold out in minutes at 1.3 to Various people including to gukpt winners and members of the hit squad.

Calling him out on Facebook was not the way to go when you hardly know Pete

Not sure if you can work it out, but from point of view, I don't believe Pete is .3 and I won't go back on that view. Also, bring up my Hendon Mob is pointless, because everyone who knows me knows, I only really play play the local games in Sheffield, hence why my Hendon Mob is empty. Previously had sold out on other stakes for DTD, and also can able to fund it off my own back like mentioned.

Thanks for the reply guys.

I am not looking just to work in a casino, but would perhaps love to work within one in an important role, rather than dealing house and poker games. I used to work in a casino about a year and half ago, enjoyed it, but this is placement, need to learn and get some valuable experience.

I did get an offer to work down in London on the underground and offered £16k a year, I ended up declining the offer due to the fact I don't want to work in London.

I am based in Sheffield. I am probably looking for a decent enough placement in local cities such as Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.

did you email me?

I'll get onto it now Smiley

Stupid question...

You only have been sold PPI when you have had a loan with the bank? I keep getting phone calls from somewhere asking about PPI and that I have been misold PPI, but yet I have never had any loans from the bank. I have a overdraft with the bank?

Just very confused.
