Using 49 instead of 50 is the same as 99 instead of 100.  Its use is due to the sub-conscious telling us that its a lot cheaper than the other. 99p cone!

Can anyone actually comment on their turn decision or are we just going to get anal about other things!! lol

I'm playing 750 he has covered, isn't this too deep to be 4 betting, im assuming he has a tight range here?

As played what would you do on river Pleno?

Lol Tim loves it!

Villain is Kurt from DTD many of you will know him.  Previously I floated a flop of k10 6 rainbow, barrelled an A turn and an A river and Kurt folded the river.  (my hand is irrelevant in this pot but this is our history) I'm aware Kurt is quite solid but I'm not aware what his 3bettng range is from the small especially vs Tim....anyway

The Hand
Tim Chung opens to 10 over a limper, button calls and Kurt 3bets to 31 from the SB.  We're sitting in the big blind with  and we peel as do the other 2 players.

Flop    Pot 124
Kurt Cbets 47 and we flat the other 2 fold.
Turn  Two Diamonds Pot 218
Kurt checks and we bet 77 (purely for pot control as we can still be losing here and tons of crap rivers for us) Kurt calls.
River  Pot 372
Kurt checks......we?Huh?

Probably folding turn, definitely folding river...his value range has you crushed, your never going to see AJ AQ show up imo.  Some people will argue that he has loads of combo draws that missed however a draw/combo draw is much more likely to c/r flop than donk....or c/c flop and c/r brick turns.
You can also argue that our range is capped as we haven't raised so we don't have 2 pair or better but again I don't see a need to do this because we can get stacks in anyway by calling and as previously stated I don't think there are many combo draws here so rarely any triple barrell bluffs.
This may be wrong I don't play much online cash but that would be my reasoning to happily fold!!

As in ppl don't bluff raise these boards and if they do they snap shutdown vs his value combos so many action killing turns.

Think calling really bad just shove. It in and hope he ca.ls (he like.y will)

Agree with this that was my thinking vs his value range but as played what do you do on the turn Pleno?

Agree with 3 bet bigger.  I 3bet the flop to 249, the guy tanked for a year then peeled.

Turn  Pot 582 We have roughly 660 back.

Whats our line now?

Sitting in SB playing 950 straddle is on and the guy on my left has just sat down with about 1100 (40 years old perceived as tight but not particularly good by me).

CO opens to 12 on the 4 straddle, I three bet to 33 from the sb with  , villain next to act peels after a moments thought then the OR folds and we go heads up.

Flop       Pot 82

I cbet the flop to 42 (I'm aware this is too small and immediately regretted it as the chips hit the felt)
Villain raises to 126....
WWYD?

Definitely peeling pre.  Calling 2 streets on k high board as mentioned.  If he checks turn on k high board im probably going for 3 streets or bet turn check back river, but i prefer 3 streets.  reasoning is with kq ak aa he should be piling the turn for sure as lots of your showdown hands will be checking back and hel miss value.  Checking back turn and betting river is my least preferred line because the river rarely gets hero called as a bet ck bet line is rarely a bluff!

26  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: Jam or take a card turn spot at $400nl on: September 05, 2013, 02:08:10 PM
Dont get me wrong it sounds like we're just bleeding money if we fold here.  But without initiative the hand is that much harder to play.  If we're happy to float here and continue with the hand then why aren't we happy enough to 3bet pre and make our lives so much easier.  Not constructing a range at all until the turn 3bet, think it would be a mistake to do so as well vs such a standard open.
Your probably correct regarding floating this is where I am very inexperienced as I very rarely get OOL when i'm OOP which may obviously be very exploitable!!

Don't mind 3 bet or flat here pre.  Fold flop imo, just purely oop vs unknown range...Obv turn nut card like the turn c/r, now i would peel and wait for river.  Think this is a get paid or fold spot otr our odds are amazing for the turn. Checking all rivers as vs value ranges we get paid and bluffs. If we miss sigh but odds are incred

4bet get it in otf imo.  Generally players that click buttons very quickly are pretty bad so I would imagine he's gonna get it in with worse.  Turn is really meh with his sizing but again aa with hearts, ak with hearts aren't folding. Lots of combos are gonna go in on the flop as well vs bad players such as kj with hearts even k10 with hearts.  As played I would call turn and reevaluate river
