Just saw Simon facebook post about collecting his winnings - do they always pay out large amounts in cash?Huh?
Never thought about it before but imagine the risk walking back to your hotel with those spondoolies...you'd be a bit nervous...or is it dealt with differently...anyone???

It seems that horses number 5 started the week well but have faded a little in the past day or so

I have spent a good 3 seconds deciding how to turn it all around and if Its not too late would it possible to change my algorithm

Horse number 7 (or nearest below if no number seven) and forget second place let's go "to win" on every race

Thanks

I am assuming the seven players on £0.0p have not been spending endless hours studying the form 😕

So it seems going with horse number five in every race has worked out well today - considering I couldn't even tell you if Ascot is a flat or jumps course I think I will percivere with my terrific method of horse selection until the end

Ascot is both a flat and a jumps course depending on the time of year.

So I could have guessed and got it right :-)

I will enter for £10 if you send your details for transfering it thanks

Please enter horse number 5 every race...if there is no number 5 then the nearest number below

Cheers

Each-way or win only?

Each way please

Quick question...rough guide figure appreciated

If I was to go to Vegas at the start or middle of the wsop and stay at a middle of the range hotel what sort of price would it be for ten nights accommodation and flights and meals etc

Sorry if it's been covered before - looked on the net but thought its best to ask those that have been incase there are hidden costs

Thanks in advance

After just reading there is going to be a second Grand Prix million and wondering if Rob has had a bump to the head I thought I would post a thought on what might reduce the overlay or hit the guarantee next time around...

Play to 10% on day one - all day two players in the money (this is never popular with the regs but could encourage more recs)
And

With the above in play - payout all day twos

For example if it was this past weekend and someone made day two three times - the smallest stack is removed and the minimum cash is paid...the other two stacks play the two day twos - resulting in absolute minimum of three min cash payouts

I think that could greatly encourage multiple entrants.

Just throwing it in there

the payout was set at 66% of todays players...simon said 199th was the bubble from 350 odd players...there was a bit of chat on my table about the low number of paid runners

general feeling was if there were 7000 entries (over the 2 days) then 700 payouts would be about right.... it was based on unique entries though (thoughts that a paid entry was a paid entry)...especially as the grand prixs are aimed at recreational players.

As usual impecibly run and massive shame it will be so overlaid

For those that didnt turn up due to a short stack...a 56k stack on my table blinded out after 30 minutes...i would estimate 400-500k and you might have just blinded in to the money...it was very fast and furious  Grin

Got through last night, bit gutted to lose 200k near the end (under pair hit a set) but still got 300k

Only about 12% made day two - still got one 1p won seat to play with next week aswell - always fun when you have already made day two

One thing I know from previous grand prixs is that the blinds increase fairly quickly and it soon becomes lots of shoving so any size stack has a chance ;-)

well done smurf for getting into day 2 and with a decent stack....... how many levels did you play in the  day 1 event??
think your already in the money Smiley as all day 2's get a cash!?!?

It's 18 levels which stops at 6k 12k but it's rolled back for day to two levels - I think with an average 12-13% getting through and some of them being doubles it won't be far off 10% making day two so I would think it will be very close to the money like you say - the problem if they say 'yes day two is In the money ' then the last day one is played after the first day two - there would be lots of tiny stacks limping through just to cash - so expect there to be a few on day two not paid

Still playing te penny rolls though to try and grab some more entries

assuming the money bubble will burst before day 3...i'm curious as to how it works with two day 2's???
75  Poker Forums / The Rail / Hmmm on: April 30, 2015, 10:11:52 AM
Please don't read this as a dig at DTD as it isn't  and I really don't like to post any negative slant but this just seems wrong to me - Just wondered what the general feeling on this is

Just noticed a latest promotion...final table the live xxl and the online mini for a £1000 bonus

Ok so the money is great...but actively looking for live players to all be sat on their iPads etc round the table...is this where poker is heading

I know some do it anyway but surely live poker should not become ipad city with no one really speaking to each other

Am I out of touch??? Views???
