Doesn’t LV have a train station? That’s pretty incredible if true if you think about it......

They've not had trains for 23 years:

You could go a long way then for 30p.

Back then, as you will remember, those machines dispensed oysters caught from the Thames Estuary. As more people used the Tube, it coincided with an increase in interest in animal rights and matters came to a head with the then Mayor deciding to replace the system with tickets and they later got replaced by a top-up card.

Funny when you look back.

Jeez, the weather here in Manchester is truly terrifying. This is gonna be real bad by British standards.

Hope it's better where you are.

Man City v West Ham postponed.

That's how bad it is.

If you're planning on doing a short trip for one or two comps, just be aware that events frequently overrun by a day. Naturally, that's most common in big field holdem events, but it is best to have a bonus day factored into your flight plans.

Taken from right outside the first class lounge, I note...

Tell us about this airport feature, Tikay. I only found out about it the other day.

I know the big WSOP events have live satellites beforehand - do the $1k events have them too? And/or are there any online satellites for them? TIA.

I doubt there will be satellites for those events. There are constant single table tournaments at various buy ins for lammers (live casino equivalent of tournament dollars, for anyone that doesn't know) at the Rio.

Thanks for the update, Pads. Sounds less like OCD and more like being goal-motivated. You're a dream pupil for a GROW model coach!

As we get older, something often happens that teaches us we can't do everything at 100mph. We have to work out what matters most to us and make difficult decisions that inevitably mean we can't fully commit
to something we enjoy anymore. The smart ones are able to accept they won't be at their theoretical peak for that thing, but they'll not regret it, because that sacrifice means they can excel at what they love.

For some, the event is children or a new and exciting hobby. You've committed in incredible ways to so many things and been kind enough to share those experiences on this thread. It's extraordinary to read it and it's testament to blonde that there have been threads like yours (and Alex's), with these incredible trajectories, free of charge. As readers with lives in a different grind, we get a little vicarious thrill from following along.

Keep up the updates if you can, however regular.

And keep up the great and fascinating work.

Update.
Managed to get Planet Hollywood for the Week for £1800 Inclusive.

Planet Hollywood seems a decent Hotel so give it a bash.

Cheers All.

PS. Can you go to Legasse your self to watch the NFL or would you recommend another sports book like Westgate as per Tal.

Cheers.

Go in advance to Lagasse's (whenever you're in the area) or call them to reserve a seat or table. If you're just on your own, you can also sit at the bar.

Minimum spend is $25, unless it's changed in the last year. Beer and a burger costs you about that, so no worries there!

The issue with Lagasse's compared to a sportsbook is whether you'll get all the games on in view, in the order you want them. If they're showing redzone and you're happy with that, no problem.

If you can get in the theatre seating bit, there should be one or two main games (presumably the national TV games) and the rest on smaller TVs.

I've not watched NFL there. I suspect it will fill up and you'll be daft to rock up on spec, when booking is easy.

As for the Westgate, it's the only sportsbook I would recommend for the NFL. Every book will be full to bursting, as people travel to bet on these games.

Other attractions for us Brits is it's smoke free.

Westgate has more markets than everyone else, too, and at better margins (comparatively). You get 10/11 each of two or 5/6 and Evs. Also have some props.
